If Catholics think Pope John Paul II was wrong in publicly accepting evolution, should this not shake their believe in papal infallibility? The Apostle creed (I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church) requires Catholics to believe in the church, so do they have to just go along with the authority of the church in spite of personal reservation about evolution.
