How long does it take for a car to be shipped From germany, I ordered a car from a dealer here on nairaland and it has be in the port for up To 3 weeks anytime I track it the departure Date keeps changing Please I need ur help and advice on this ? The shipping Line they said they used is Grimaldi |

Your car is probably waiting to clear customs at the port. Just be patient sir. |

rki: Thank you for your reply It is three weeks plus now, they gave me a tracking Number when I track it on the 20th of July The departure was on the 27th when I tracked it On the 26th the departure was on the 2nd of August I called the shipping agent they said it was custom that everything is fine, on the first of August I tracked It the departure changed to the 4th of August I called again they said the key was broken and they have to cut Off the key lock now it can start with a screw driver, I did not complain I tracked it again last night the departure was shifted to on the 10th if August I checked again this morning the departure was again shifted to the 11th of August, is this how Grimaldi is unreliable ? I have asked the agent to change to a different shipping line she has refused and keep on telling me Grimaldi is the best |

jeff_oja: Pls be patient, Grimaldi can be frustrating at times but they still remain my preferred choice in terms of security. I'm having the same issue with them as regards different ETA. |

Don't look at the preliminary price tag to value a car on Copart, it doesn't matter what price you see there. What matters is the virtual sale prices, and this only happens on the day of the sale. That been said, $8000 is a lot of money worth ~N1.3m (and you want this to buy a 2009 Corolla/s, inclusive of towing fees, shipping, clearing and our commission fees)? - sorry, no, this wouldn't work out. Let's go backwards....a simple reverse. (This is a rough estimate NOT actual) 4- Clearing that car in Nigeria goes around N600k or more (~$3700-$4000) 3- Towing fees depends on the distance to the port - $200-$500 2- Our commission of $800 1- Ocean freight from US to Nigeria - $1000 sub total = $6000-$6300. ($8000 budget - $6000/$6300 = $1700/2000). Now, what this means is that you want to buy a 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA/S/ for $2000/N326,000. (Very Impossible)

Won a bid for a slightly dented 2004 toyota avalon car on copart last week; RKI autos has been TRANSPARENT  ; If there are other synonyms for transparency; please help me;the cars has not been delivered yet to my doorsteps but thus far; every transaction has been Pure.
