yomex_y2: @Naijababe, Onlineresource you are very much correct with your analysis from the diagram that you have given in your chart,i actually took a sell around that 1400 area which was broken because of its psychological area that its known for 1400 though i lost the trade, but thing i still believe that is key to every trading is knowing when to follow the trend which is the core of my trade using other price action tools though ordinarily one would expect that price will test back 1400 and it would rise from there but also look at where price returned around 1425-1430 area, that area is the weekly support area turned resistance and also the candle formation that happened there also suggest that price will definitely head down. which is the reason why i took a trade around that area, if you turn in to your 4hr chart you should see things clearly there. Note: One thing you should note about using trendline to trade is that if price test a trendline area and rejects it its actually heading down to the next trend line area so from your chart it's showing that gold is still heading down to 1376 area before any reaction will occur though i doubt that level will support it because of the pressure of the sell on gold. Thats just my idea on the chart... but here is a chart for you to understand what am saying NOTE: pls how do you do you editing of your chart like this, care to share as it will be easier for me to you it to explain charts later...

@ yomex, in addition to Onlineresources comments, there is a bearish flag on the hourly chart as well, see chart below. When this kind of formation occurs, the rule of thumb is that destination of price will be the same length as the pole, this is measured from the outer region of mast. It works out to be 1216 tp!!!  I don't know if that is possible but I won't buy gold.

USDJPY on intra-week resistance @ 99.7x lets try a sell at market open with SL above the month's high. Also note 100.2x as another level (intra-year resistance) to sell from. Enjoy your trading week. |
