boss if gold is heading up trader can still make money "CT" from the sell depend on number of pips you wish to catch. when a trade met all your parameter and RR is okay good to go for the pips may be because the way i was being trained. knowing the time to go for less than 20pips and i know the time to go for 100 plus. in as much as i believe traders can make gain on any side even in a trending market, but i will avoid selling Gbp/usd for time being

measure from the top head to the left shoulder as indicate with green line the number of pips there is the projection to be looking forward after the break as indicate by the blue line. best is to allow retrace back to the neck to be sure before entering the trade

the good part of this is it happen on all time frame.

...and if you are using any oscillator along like stoch, macd etc. watch for divergence between the candle shoulders and your oscillator shoulders if you find one, enter with good lot it a good trade.

This was a very nice trade! Notice how price found enough supply within the 8-pip sell cluster. I do hope that a few traders took the buy trade and were also smart enough to sell from the point D. That this trade worked perfectly well on 5min tf is proof positive to the fact (and truth) that MARKETS ARE FRACTAL IN NATURE. My honest advice to those who think support/resistance levels don't work effectively on lower tfs is that they should go have a proper re-think. Smaller tfs actually offer more trading opportunities than larger tfs. It is now solely dependent on the trader's skill set to determine what he can max out from the many small waves generated.
