IN bid to aid Nigerian professionals to be employable across their various  disciplines in the country, CADD Centre, has been commissioned recently in Lagos to top-notch skilled training in Aided Design ( CAD), Computer Aided Engineering ( CAE), and Computer Aided Manufacturing ( CAM.

Asia’s biggest network of franchise-based training centres, according to the General Manager, CADD Centre, Vijay Baskarb, reiterated that Government and its parastatals will also benefit from Project Planning Management (PPM) for infrastructure and road planning.

He said, “We create quality tailor-made programmes that address the specific needs of the corporate houses. Our domain knowledge and subject experts can help corporate organisations identify the CAD, CAM, CAE and Project Management skill gaps that deter productivity and effectively address the training needs of employees.”

“Our customised programmes are developed from a list of comprehensive programmes ranging from Master’s to Foundation level. The programmes are designed to offer the highest level of quality and most up to date hands-on training, in an instructor-led environment.”  he added.

Operations of the Lagos branch of the Indian training centre at a start today witnessed by special guest of the occasion, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, former executive vice chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Other personalities at the occasion include Guest of Honour, Saravanan Karaiadselvan, managing director, CADD Centre Training Services, Chief Guest, Saliu A. Lawal, national chairman, Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, Chief Host, Chris Obi Chikelue, vice chairman, Riverbank Technologies and Engineering Services Limited.

Similarly, Executive Director, Riverbank Technologies and Engineering Services Limited, Ayoola Jolayemi, the master franchise owners for CADD Centre in Nigeria and West Africa explained that the platform is their way to contribute to the improvement in skilled workforce in various engineering fields.

“Basically, CADD Centre will facilitate training in the areas of design, testing, analysis and Project Planning Management across various disciplines to improve productivity in and around the country. Some of these disciplines include oil and gas, power, telecoms and ICT among others,” Jolayemi enunciated.
