My Name wasn't on the List, so I want to ask a question. What's the difference between Biochemistry and Medicine? If I can know the difference and similarities then maybe I'd suppliment. If not so, then I'm prepared to write another UTME even if it were tomorrow.

Hello peeps, i have been a silent followers of thiz thread for long, even before p.utme registration...and am happy to be one of those previledged to be admitted in the merit list.
And its so painful & pathetic that some of our brothers and sisters are yet to be admitted, and i think d only thing we can offer them is by praying for divine favour on ther behave...#may my God pave way for your success*

For we, the newly admitted students. I think its high time we find a better medium to hook up for smooth conversation(social networking site like facebook)...most especialy for those of us that resides in thousand of miles away akwa-ibom...maybe we should create a whatsapp forum.....or what ur thought?

My advice: we should all endeavour to arrange the necessary documents for registrations...i.e testimonial, birth certificate, state of origin and others...

My brother biochemistry is quite different from med/sug. Moreover they are in different faculties. Well I don't know how bad u want medicine But I'll advice u to supplement.

Well, I cannot categorically give direct answer to ur question because I don't have much knowledge about MBBS and Biochem. However, I can only give u a piece or two pieces of brotherly advice.

If I were in ur shoes, I would consider two factors before making my final decisions. The factors are:

a) Passion: I would ask myself if I really have genuine passion for MBBS. What actually is my motivation for this one of the most coveted courses by aspirants? Is it all about money or respect that comes with it? Can I develop this kind of passion for Biochem? Is there anything about Biochem that can motivate me this much? This last question would prompt me to carryout a thorough research about Biochem(google and those that have been there before can always be of help). If my findings are positive, I would consider the second factor.

b)Satisfaction: It would be unfortunate for someone who already spent 4 to 5yrs in the university to start wishing he or she had studied another course. These kinds of empty wishes come up when the person in question isn't satisfied with what he/she studied. For instance, a good friend of mine who is studying Microbiology currently called me the other day. When we got talking, he told me that he was going to get his second degree in MBBS after completing his studies in Microbiology. Prior to his admittion to studying Microbiologly, he had wanted to study MBBS but was denied because he couldn't meet the cut off mark then. How do we explain his reason to take second degree in MBBS if it doesn'
t boil down to lack of satisfaction?
Again, age is very pertinent in some cases. If I'm right, the study of MBBS takes nothing less than six years to be completed. So, waiting for another year simply means you will be getting older.

The ball is now in your court. You alone know precisely what you want, so go for it. I pray God to help you as you make your final decisions.

About UNIUYO 2nd Admission Lists

UNIUYO 2nd list admission is called Supplementary Admission list and it proceeds the merit list (form on sale).

Candidates who scored 180 and above in both the 2013 UTME and the 2013 Post-UTME Screening Exercise, but could not gain admission into their first choice programme, are eligible to apply for supplementary admission into other programmes relevant to their UTME subject combination.

Now, there are courses that still needs candidates to fill vacant admission positions. So you can buy this form and pick any other related course of choice.

GOD IS FAITHFUL AND JUST! I have been admitted into UNIUYO to study LAW(My dream-course). I was the guy who scored 352 in his post-utme,and 201 in jamb.JAMB thought they could limit or prevent me,but GOD VINDICATED ME! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Hehehehe, that part about Jamb really got me laughing. Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I would've considered changing course considering how competitive Law was, but you didn't.

Over 2,600 candidates admitted so far.....i heard UNIUYO admits up to 4,500 evry year......i pray God dat dos dat havnt seen dia names,wil surely be admitted in 2nd list.....my advice 4 ppl...pls and pls make a wise decision during suplementary,if U knw ur aggregrate is less dan 220,go 4 non competitive courses to avoid story dat touches...WISH UNA GOODLUCK Bt Not JONATHAN ooo

I salute everyone in the Interestimg thread....but please i have a problem...i just got an Android phone {Techno P5}, i tried to ''QUOTE'' some comments but the button was not there...now i'm using my Java X2 an all the buttons are visible.
Please who else has experienced such?. Does it mean that ANDROID phones cant be used on NAIRALAND?. Throughout yesterday i tried to make comments and QUOTE but couldnt....please HELP!!!!

Pls nairalanders I need your advice on wish course to choose for my supplementary list form, is it advisable for me to choose philosophy or any other art course. In my jamb I score 183 and in my post utme I score 184 pls I need your advice.
