@OP

I don't think Fashola has any interest in declaring a war on Lagosians because of their ethnic origin. I am sure Fashola, as a decent Nigerian leader, takes his examples from the best examples that obtains worldwide. If law abiding, then Lagos remains home to upright inhabitants and visitors to the State. If a criminal (whether Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Ijaw, Chadian, Beninoise or Ghanaian) then Lagos should be made unwelcoming for you.

It’s saddening reading ill-composed with intension to ruin the reputation of outstanding and respected governor in the name of Fashola simply because of blindness and reluctant of some fools toward change.
If Igbo people think Fashola insistence on Lagos of a standard in aspect of environmental rule compliance is problem, they should pack their load and leave. A few can't hold Lagos down from achieving its plan simply because of their brainless and selfish reasoning.

Maple: If those 'traders' were Hausas, thesame ppl crying foul here would be the ones who would jubilate the most and even congratulate Fashola for a job well-done. Bloody Hypocrites!

^^^^you dey mind them.

FSU:

You are making real sense. Yorubas bear grudge against Igbos over alleged events of the 1960s, even after they joined the North to try to kill off Igbos then. That grudge is the reason Fasola has been decimating Igbos in Lagos.

^^^ Have tried going east or Biafran??

GARRI (x7):

Sensible IGBOs know that Fashola doesn't hate IGBOs.

The question is‎: Aside being a proud IGBO, are you also a sensible IGBO??

angry

^Never thought of that! oya Over to proud-igboBiafran!!

At those who claim these traders were armed with dangerous weapons, how come there is no evidence such?

Why would the police and other moronic folks classified dual used object like machete, and defensive objects such as baton, wooden sticks as dangerous weapons?

Parading these traders like this because Fashola failed to do his job (clean the market) is height of inhumanity of Fashola. He clearly could have approached this matter in a more professional manner. By the way, when those other markets were closed, why didn't we see them parade people like these. Or are we saying, there are no daggers, machete, etc retrieved from those markets.

It is simply an act of savagery, and blatant barbarism the way these traders were treated. Fashola sooner or later will murder sleep!
