The safety systems in the aviation sector are not standard at all. why dont governement support private airliners? why dont we have a major private airliner? I heard recently that a plane dissapeared at obudu (i think) just 40 minutes from landing because it lost communication with the enugu tower station. can someone refute this?
what is happening again?

Air crashes can occur as a result of the smallest of mechanical faults, so the fact that one went down in the Obudu mountains does not in an of itself amount to an indictment of the Nigerian aviation sector.

To ponder how tiny the fault needs to be to spell catastrophe, three separate Boeing 737's went into uncontrolled spins and crashed, killing all aboard because a small valve failed, causing the rudder to work in the opposite direction to that expected by the pilot. An Air Alaska MD 83 plunged into the sea off Los Angeles due because the threading stripped off a critical bolt that controlled the aircraft's horizontal stabilizer, disabling the pilot's ability to pull the plane out of its death dive. A Swissair plane caught fire mid-air and spun into the Atlantic because the newly installed entertainment system's electronics overheated.

With the complexity of aircraft, chit WILL happen, unfortunately, even in the best managed fleets and airspace.

Till date the crashed plane has not been located. Just imagine the people burning to ashes, with no help.

And as for the Nigerian Aviation Sector, Senates says all the officials deserved to be fired! shocked Chkina. They all deserved to be sacked, they don't really know their duty. They are all just figureheads in their respective office.
