I was called around 3 a.m ds mornin that d long awaited call up list has bin released by my skul, nd wat seems to be d bad news is dat i was posted to Kebbi state*I nearly fainted wen d news came in* Ds isnt because is a northern state but simply because i dnt knw wia in heaven ds state is rooted on d map, nd how long d journey is goin to be frm lag; which is wia am based.
Pls if ur bin posted there lets meet here. Plus, if u'v had any experience abt d state probably u once served there or any info dat can be of help pls assist a broda in nid.

I served in Kebbi State and the camp was in Dakingari then.
The trip is around 15hrs going by luxury bus but will be less going by small buses.
The temperature there is very harsh. Extreme cold in the morning very hot in afternoon.
It shares border with niger republic and sokoto as it is part of the states created from Sokoto state.
The truth is I enjoyed serving there. Its the most peaceful state in the north.

Hi Friend,
I was posted to Kebbi State for my service (2011). The weather is probably at 40 degrees at this period(Very Hot). Kebbi is a relatively peaceful state, it's a mixed-religious state (Both Muslims and Christians are in good numbers). There are four major emirates in the state, Kebbi is close to Sokoto and Zamfara. You will spend about 10 to 12 hours from Lagos to Kebbi. As at last year,there was no permanent orientation camp. We used Argungu fishing village (Batch B 2011). I advise you travel with Cross Country, they'll drop you at the orientation camp. Buy enough white T.shirt and a few other stuffs you'll need. Endeavour to travel light. Wish you a successful service year. #Ajuwaya o otondo!

4Rm Lag its a 24hrs journey.....u ll enjoy ur stay cos I did. 4 d records,Zuru LGA is d happening pLace......jst passed out last month(Vals day)

Kebbi is nt dat bad especially if u wil serve at zuru.Zuru is superb anoda Lagos in d north

Ayam a batch C corper also here in KB state. D camp is in Dakingari even though u might c Argungu on ur letter. Lag to Kebbi is abt 14-15 hrs. Do well in camp, join any grp u like and pray 4 b/kebbi if u want to finish ur allowee quick...lol. Ayam in Maiyama.u r welcom,prospective otondo corpers.

Lol...bros 1200 out of 1500 do come with medical reports with hopes of relocation. So bros keep that off your mind for now.

don't discourage him, even though 2000 pple come with medical reports, it does not guarantee that his redeployment won't be approved

Kebbi is a peaceful state,I serve there 2012 batch A,I did my PA @jega(maiyama)just passed out last month,u will enjoy ur stay,I will advice u to take luxury from onitisha to sokoto @garage u get a bus or wagon going to dankingari ,u will enjoy ur stay in the camp,water and light that one na confirm wishing all national youth service corpers happy service year....

Wel, left d desert cald Dakingari ydy evenin nd i rily dont see anytin dat wl bring me back to ds dead zone cald Kebbi state; wia i was disconnected frm d world for 3 massive weeks, dint even c a bird flyin around durin my stay in camp nd d sun is notin compared to a burnin furnace.
Seein corp members who previously served in d state; wit some stil serving selling Moi-moi, doughnut, pure-water, groundnut etc gave me d very right impression dat i was neva meant to be there.
Drivin home now, d gud news is i'v bin redeployd bak to Lag wia i neva even expected; even if am goin to be faced wit al d stress in ds whole wide world because i learnt its nt always easy wen ur bin redeployd to lag; i rily dnt mind, am just happy to have left ds dungeon. Plus, who said camp is fun Bullshit!!
Wl soon be thrillin u guys wit ma travelogue wen am a little free. C u guys on d flip side.
