If you're talking about a treatment that would expedite the run of phases without harming the person in question, then I will listen to you,but,this "cure cured" propoganda is seriously wacked !

If it means a total eradication of the virus from every part of the body, including those that are dormant in latent reservoirs, then I agree that this type, known as 'sterile cure' is unlikely for HIV. I should add it has been achieved in some viral infections.

However, another form of cure exist in which the virus still remains dormant in latent reservoirs in the body, but are unable to reactivate into the actively replicating forms thus enabling a prolonged state of remission to be achieved. This, known as 'functional cure', which was alluded to in the article is being advocated for HIV and I might add that there have been promising results so far.

I might also add that with current treatment (ART) readily available in most health centers, even in very remote areas, no woman, I repeat, no woman has any reason to give birth to a HIV+ baby in this day and age. Those who do have only themselves to blame.

In the case of the lady in the article, she presented very late (during labour), which is unfortunate.

in other words we are saying the same thing, but whta I want you to understand now is this,the sterile cure you mentioned above is not possible in any viral infection,take chicken pox and misseles as case study here, have you not noticed of recent that both diseases are now reoccuring on individuals that have suffered from them before and believed to have gotten immuned to them?? I think the number of years an individual will live on earth determines this assumed cure/cured factor of a thing.
