Like all noobs out there to open-source,can all Linux users tell me the difference or at least tell me what sparks thier interest betweenn these distros:fedora,ubuntu and opensuse.what are thier strong points?cons?and which would you suggest for a first time user of linux?

There are several differences between linux distros. However, for beginners i recommend ubuntu. Its the best for linux newbies.it has a very strong and active community, try www.ubuntuforums.org and see the amount of people active there. Redhat is focused more on the business enterprise.
