enugu rangers drawing at home is more expensive than pillars losing one game away. No draw is better than a win especially a home draw. You know why pillars is topping? Because draws won't push you up like a win. You need 3 draws to be at par with just one win. There's no opposition pillars can't match in the league, the past 5 years is a testimony!
Has pillars won the league in the past 5 years

3SC always has this silly record of not playing up to full capacity away from home, so 'leaking in goals' isn't really about this season alone, but if the team can pull the magic like they did towards the end of last season, then they can win some and draw some. Pillars will still drop, I am certain of that.

sure, pillars will drop points same with other contenders.

Enyimba is steadily gaining momentum, regardless of their slip up in the last game.

to win the league, a club must stop leaking goals at home. 3sc playing with fire!
A team that plays fine attacking football is bound to concede goals. It is always best to outscore one's opponent rather than park the bus.
Kano pillars initial 'gra gra' will soon be busted.

3sc is not as attacking as pillars, yet the latter is better defensively than the former. Nothing like initial gragra, pillars remains the most consistent in the league. Always in the top 4.

not since 2007 upward. Pre 2007, Enyimba was the most consistent and not rangers. Past glory doesn't win trophies, ask leeds united lol

Leeds united are not in the top flight, are they? Rangers is the only team never to be relegated in the history of Nigerian football. We've always finished top 5 for so many years now. Kano Pillars is just a new kid on the block trying to learn from the big boys. Show some respect to the elders.

06/04/13 AC Leopards 2-0 Kano Pillars CAF Champions League. (agg 3-4)
Re: Official NPFL Thread. (nigerian Professional Football League) by honeric01(m): 6:16pm On Apr 07, 2013
Heartland got walked over by their Gabonese opponent for not getting to the venue at the right time, so heartland's out of the caf confederation league.

We're now left with just our 2 CCL clubs on the continent.

So sad!
Re: Official NPFL Thread. (nigerian Professional Football League) by honeric01(m): 6:22pm On Apr 07, 2013
Enugu Rangers 2-0 Vital'O (agg 2-0).

Scorers : Oguchi, Yarehe.

But Enugu rangers and Kano pillars are through to the next round of the caf champions league.

Just heard AC Leopard scored one more goal to make it 3-0 against Kano pillars which means Pillars is out of the CCL. I just don't understand how a huge competition like the CCL would be handled in such a shaby way where information is hard to gather. sucks!

AC Leopards were last year's caf confederation's cup champs, even defeated heartland along the way.

Its now left for Rangers to make us proud.
