You know, during the civil war, many Igbos’ refused to eat certain foods even during starvation because they were, “forbidden”, according to custom. My people don’t touch coco-yam, in Warri breadfruit grows everywhere but people would rather play football with them than eat them. I remember at collage, Breadfruit would be the very last order of the day when provisions dried up. And yet, suddenly, I’m supposed to believe that a bunch of Nigerians jumped into the sea to drag a decaying carcass to land just for a handful of festering blubber. We're not Chinese, ready to eat the world out of planet. In Nigeria the attitude of FORBIDDEN food cuts across most tribes. If photos are in Nigeria then probably immigrants noshing that stuff – btw got nothing against law abiding immigrants. |

Na today? I have said it before. If a dinosaur comes to Nigeria people go still chop am. Whales get washed on shores in other countries. You see people helping the whales back to the sea. Silverbird TV in Lagos last year aired the story of a whale that beached at Lagos Bar Beach. The report showed the whale been hacked to bits by lagosians on the beach. Recently their has been instances of whales beaching around the world. The difference here while Marine biologists were trying to research into this development our tommy here spoke first. I pray the whale had navigational issues and not dead on berthing. |
