In modern times, we are so concerned and apprehensive about our diets or intakes. The attention given to diet is becoming more and more recognized as essential to nutrition and development. What we eat becomes extremely crucial as we tread on the chequered pavement of our mortal existence. A low condition of bodily health is produced by negligence to the laws of nature as to suitable diet. This deficiency leads to the habit of immoderate use of stimulants in the natural sphere to hopefully rebalance the scales and so it is in the spiritual sphere.

There is a clear-cut difference between the Spirit, Soul and Body. The SOUL is the real person existing within a biologically living BODY or the BIOLOGICAL LIFE. So, the HUMAN LIFE is a combination of the BIOLOGICAL LIFE and the SOUL LIFE. The development of the BIOLOGICAL life is dependent and unravelled/unlocked by medicine while that of the SOUL life is unlocked and dependent on God.

Physiology is defined as a branch of Biology that deals with the normal functions of living organism and their parts. It is the scientific study of function in living systems, which includes how organisms, organ systems, organs, cells, and bio-molecules carry out chemical or physical functions that exist in a living system, hence the mention of food and diet above.

Psychology is the study of the human mind and its functions, especially those affecting behaviour in a given context. While psychological knowledge is often applied to the assessment and treatment of mental health problems, it is also directed towards understanding and solving problems in many different spheres of human activity. In effect, majority of psychologists are involved in some kind of therapeutic role, practicing in clinical counselling or school settings.

Please note that there is and will always be a connection between our mental disposition and our soul. The SOUL, which is the invisible, immaterial part, CANNOT be examined through scientific observation. The origin, structure and activity of the SOUL traditionally fall to the realm of THEOLOGY or PHILOSOPHY.

An academic education is not the important factor or even a prerequisite of accurate thinking. Accurate thinking comes from the use of biblical doctrines of the Word of God by the one who is born-again and who has a positive volition/attitude to Bible truth.

So, a low condition of spiritual health is produced by improper feeding, or the neglect of necessary food, which is the Word of God. This leads to resorting to the many modern fashions, motivational speeches, novel methods and widely advertised nostrums in the Religious world, in an attempt to remedy the inevitable results. There is a way that seems right to man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (KJV) Proverbs 14:12

The root of all the evils, which abound in the spiritual sphere at the present day lies in the fact that the Word and the Words of God are not fed upon, digested and assimilated as they ought to be. Reason is that the Bible is not understood or taught properly and clearly.

Phillip came across the Eunuch in the book of Acts and the question he addressed to him is still greatly needed. “Understandest thou what thou readest?” The Eunuch’s answer is only too true to day: “How can I, except some man should guide me.” (KJV) Acts 8:29-31.

There is always a tendency to blame the pew for the direction the Church is in today. I will NOT blame this on the people attending the Church but the preachers, leaders or the teachers of the gospel. From the above scripture it is obvious that the Eunuch was reading the Word but there was no understanding until it was explained by Philip. Just as there are good/true teachers in the body of Christ there are false teachers as well.

There have always been “men and women” “ordained of old” who have had a mission to infiltrate Christian congregations and subvert the essential Christian message with teachings which render the gospel ineffective and meaningless. Effectively, Satan has sought to lead visible congregations astray by placing false people in congregation and leadership. True Christian teaching has been seriously diluted by additional syncretism. The result is that naïve and gullible people coming under the influence of such false teachers could be fooled into false beliefs.

Satan does this by introducing a subtle mix which has elements of the gospel but renders the gospel of no effect. He also uses the avenue of false leaders and teachers to get this message into congregations. An example is the Law of Attraction (from the Theosophical Society) demonstrated in the popular movie “The Secret”, which is being promulgated by the Word of Faith teachers today. They say when you want something all you have to do is imagine, believe and speak what you have visualized. In other words, what you imagine, you become – confession and possession. They claim to have power within to speak things into existence. Where is God or Jesus in this? What happens to the Will and purpose of God for us?

The Mystery of Iniquity is such that the gospel preached by false teachers is so close to the real gospel that it will take careful teaching and explanation to source them out. They will call the name of Christ but their preaching/teaching is different from what Christ taught – teachings such as the gospel of prosperity, money, fame, prestige, worldliness, success and magnifying their own image. Jesus will be preached in a manner but the gospel becomes fatally compromised by a message all about the use of words, finances, positive thinking and success.

These false teachers take what they will from their experience, from fables/myths/tales, and those around them who profess to be teachers will from them as sources because they are impressed by their experiences and encouraged by coincidences/flukes. They are committed to the lie that they can be as gods, they earnestly strive for spiritual power. They end up giving place to power that is NOT of the Holy Spirit.

The Mystery of Iniquity refers to Satan’s determination to infiltrate the Church with false teachings/false teachers who will deny the message of the Gospel, however subtly. There are various preachers all around the World today in leadership positions using their positions to encourage compromised theological teaching which seeks closer accord with this society. They tend to make JESUS CHRIST a great religious leader, one of many “exemplars” but not necessarily the ONLY SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD. We will hear from well-respected preachers who will declare the Bible a STORY BOOK and relegate, downgrade and demean its authority. This is the Mystery of Iniquity at work.

Be warned.

For the mystery of iniquity is already at work. But there is one who is keeping back the evil till he is taken out of the way. 2 Thessalonians 2:7
