Kano state government has expended over 1billion Naira to train 100 degree holders as pilot in Jordan as part of the government commitment to the capacity building of its indigenes.

The students both male and female would be trained at Mideast Aviation Training School, Jordan. It would be recalled that the state government has earlier sponsored over 500 students to 11 different countries to study various courses for their masters.

According to the Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the project cost the government over #1,670,371,000 while each student cost over #10,703,000 saying he want the beneficiaries to appreciate the investment the state government made in them. Governor Kwankwaso said he believed that the students would be good ambassadors in Jordan and would come back to the country and lead the aviation industry.

Meanwhile, kano state governor Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has described corruption as a huge challenge in the country which the leaders must not only work to reduce but should ensure that its eradicated in government.

i tink u are right d north military dominance can be traced back to d 70s and 80s when deir leaders invested heavily in d military while d sw investd in education d effect can be seen today some people just lik to read tribal meaning to evrythin not knowing dat d world dos not start and end with deir tribe so i tink its a matter of choice d northern leaders can keep investing in military while most of deir people ar suffering while d southern leaders can keep investing in infrastructures forgetting deir military its all abt choice simple.
