I was thinking if we could allocate 1 week for 2 groups to speed up the tourney. As it stands now, we are talking of 7 weeks (almost 2 months) for d first leg of this competition. A lot of guys might lose steam before it gets to their turn.
Just a suggestion.

You just echoed my thoughts. Maybe first four groups drops on the first week then the second groups drops on the second. This will enable us finish before the season kick-starts fully.

Laying simply means that an event won't occur. For e.g. in a game between A v B when you back a to win it means you're expecting only one outcome- A wins. But when you lay team A it means you're expecting two outcomes- A loses or draws. Just another form of double chance. Hope that helps.

I suggest 3 groups in the first week, 4 groups in the second week. If in a particular group, punter a,b,c and d got 10, 6, 6, and 4 points respectively, punter a with 10 points will qualify first, then there will be a play-off between punter b and punter c which will last for a week. In other words, all play-offs in all groups will be given a week to produce just a winner.
