Jason pulled away and smiled on seeing the desire in her eyes, "just give us a chance, let's get married before it gets very obvious, yes we don't know each other very well,give it two years or even till after the Baby is born if you don't feel anything for me we'll get a divorce,in as much as I won't want a broken home for my child but...your happiness matters. So are you giving us a chance", he finished looking at her hopefully.

She nodded her head yes," till after the baby is born, then we'll know what to do, although it's not going to be immediately after it's born".

He smiled, "thank you", he made a mental note to knock her up again immediately after the baby is born, he chuckled inwardly at his evil thought.

"I'm craving a plate of ice cream right now", she said shifting away from him to her fridge".

"No and I don't think anyone is coming I'm,because I don't have any appointment today".

Jason sat in the bar in his mansion, thoughts of Amanda filled his head,he took a big gulp from the glass cup that contained Hennessey,memories of her naked body filled his head,the fact that he hadn't talked to her for two weeks annoyed him,'well damn he thought he needed to let off some steam, he picked up his phone and made to dial Sandra's number, but then he felt like he was cheating on Amanda, he got up and slammed the poor wine glass on the wall and watched it shatter, he turned and saw his cook standing a little bit far away from him.

"You know what to do", that said he stormed off to his room.

Amanda laid on her bed,the duvet laid carelessly on the foot of the bed, she had been crying nonstop since all six strips proved positive, she needed no soothsayer to tell her she was done for,she was confused, how would she face her parents, Jason, her staffs, the governor, her elder brothers, her cousins, her friends, the media, everybody!!.

After crying for over two hours,she wiped her tears,as she made a resolution not to tell her family until she was showing and also not tell Jason until she had the baby,she hoped her parents would understand, until then, she was going to avoid everybody. First things first, she was going to map out a timetable, she would make sure she had enough rest to make sure that her child would be safe and healthy.

Three weeks later Amanda was sitted in her office, with a couple, newly wedded, they wanted a new house because the woman was already expecting

"So a three bedroom flat in Ikoyi".

"A duplex would be better, no neighbors,with a big playing space for the children".

"Oh...okay give me two days,or I have some pictures here if available duplexes", she said giving them a folder.

As the folder was safely in the man's hand,she had the sudden urge to throw up,she ran as quickly as she could into her toilet, throwing up her breakfast. She had successfully avoided Jason for two weeks now even when he came to her office, she refused to see him,he sent her flowers and chocolates every day,flooded her phone with apology messages, she knew that he'll soon run out of options,well till then.

Amanda walked back into the office and met the couple staring at the pictures in the folder, they quickly turned to look at her when she walked in.

"Are you okay", she said her voice,had a tinge of concern.

"Yeah...I'm good", she said even though she knew she was weak.

"Is this going to be your first baby", she asked sweetly.

"Uh...what!!...no I'm not pregnant and I've not had a baby before".

"You look it, and I have a feeling you are, let's say our babies are communicating, congrats in advance", she picked up her bag and they left.

Amanda shook her head to clear the fog that had formed in it,if she hadn't had sex,she would have totally ignored the woman,but she had.She picked up her bag arranged her things and left.
On her way home,she bought six packs of pregnancy test strips, she prayed in her mind that they turn out negative, if she was,how would she tell her family,how would his parents see her,it'll mean his permanent entry into her life.All these thoughts ran through her head as she parked her car in her packing space at home.

Jason half dragged, half carried Amanda into her apartment,he dropped her on her bed when he got into her room, he noted the clean state of her room and nodded his head in approval, while Amanda was still muttering rubbish, he looked at her and smiled.

"Amanda I'm going", he said, he wanted to get away from her as fast as possible, she was unknowingly turning him on.

"Don't go", she cooed softly.

"Why shouldn't I",he said amusingly.

"Don't just go", she said pouting her lips.

"You look really kissable right now".

"Kiss me".

He chuckled," you don't know what you are saying it's the alcohol I'm sure".

Mr Ross cleared his throat loudly to get their attention.
"Have the both of you met before" Mr Ross said bitting into a piece of peppered chicken.

It was Friday already Amanda came home earlier to prepare for the dinner and also cook the pepper soup she promised her father, by six PM she was through with both the pepper soup and African salad popularly known as "Abacha".Satisfied with herself she went to prepare. An hour later she was dressed in a white jumpsuit, a blue blazer, a blue stilletoe and a white Gucci purse to match, she looked at herself over on the mirror before she left the house to her parents'.
