Kano State Governor, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, yesterday released the names of some of the victims of last Tuesday’s suicide bombing attack on a luxury bus terminal in Kano. Apparently to refute that most of the victims were from South Eastern part of Nigeria.

The governor was speaking to a visiting federal government representatives who had come to commiserate with the state government regarding the deadly Monday suicide bombing of a bus station that killed at least 25 people.

Kwankwaso had earlier replied Senators Kabiru Gaiya and Uche Chukwumerije, saying they were “just ranting nonsense” in Abuja, and that they lacked first hand knowledge of the attacks.

Yeah this looks like it. I have known and traveled thru the park several times in the past and was surprised to read initial reports that most of the victims were southerners. The casualty figure was equally sexed up for some reason. Have they found who was responsible?

Instead of being solution minded, they are trying to lay blames and defend themselves. How does this list stop any attack from happening in the future?

We need names of the cowards behind this ungodly act..their sponsors, members, leaders (of which we already know some), supporters (yeah, we know some on nairaland) and their ilks.... Gather them in luxurious buses and set them off... Wicked people.....

Who cares about the fucking list when am sure the list could have been tampered to suit their wickedness. Bloodsuckers.

it is obvious that boko haram was trying to throw the bomb on people heading toward lagos.. but unknow to Boko haram people.. the passagers onboard the buses were their own north people. this is what I think happen in this case..

Their target got the wrong people by mistake.. what if their target got the right people.. nigeria would have been in a civil war .. if they discovered that the list is not true. Nigeria will be in a civil war.. So they may have also lied about the names of the victim onboard the buses.. nobody knows.

This is why i said all the time cut off a portion on nigeria.

Then, why were the Igbos crying as if the majority of the victims were their people? May be they just derive pleasure in being or claiming victims of every misfortune in the North. Just the same way they were claiming being the victims of Mubi massacre where 42 students (mainly northerners and muslims) were wasted in their hostel on a single night. Are they even thinking that Igbos are more than the Hausas in the north in terms population and presence or what?

Those two buses were brand new and belonged to one player in the business. The locals believe that the bomb was planted by rival operators to neutralize the gains of that particular company. The governor did the right thing by clearing the air so as to deny mischief makers and hausafulaniphobic miscreants any further chance of causing disaffection. And he succeeded.

The did is done and there is nothing that can be done to reverse the bomb blast.
The more sensible and applaudable thing they can do is to bring the perpetrators to book.
