Whats marriage got to do with your business? Everything or nothing, depending on your foresight and skill. Prefarably, marriage should have nothing at all to do with your business - and its up to you and your lawyer to see that it doesn't. Before taking vows, find yourself a lawyer who is an expert in matrimonial and divorce law. Have him draw up a prenuptial agreement spelling out in detail who gets what in the event you and your wife split up - and the odds are pretty good that you will. A small lump sum settlement, agreed upon in advance, will keep your spouse and avaricious lawyers out of your business, your books and your bank accounts.

Your spouse should never ask where you have been, what you have been doing, what you are thinking. A spouse should know only what you want known - and like it that way. A spouse should never be assertive, should never be angry with you. The spouse's sphere should be the home and children, nothing more. It's a sorry household where the hen crows and the cockk holds his peace.
