How come it is easy for christian movies to have scenes of murder like secular movies do? -*a grevious sin
however it is almost impossible to have scenes of sex like is prominent in secular movies? -*a lesser sin

I'd like some thoughtful opinions

*sin in my (and most xtians) traditional concepts of sin

Ok, lets try another one

In a xtian movie it would easier to say:
I "cut off the man's head" than to say "i screwed her from the back"

In real life too, it would be more publicly acceptable for a pastor to say:
"the man cut of her head and eyes"
than to say "the man shagged her for 10mins from the rear"

Both are quite descriptive
Why one, and not the other?

Its probably the different passions it arouses in us i guess

While murder might make us recoil as it gets more descriptive
Sex descriptions might make us more aroused as it gets more descriptive

In order words
we enjoy the thoughts of doing one, and not the other
the one we enjoy gives us a guilt feeling ..."evil one, how can you enjoy this sooo much" something in us says

This probably helps us understand one of the reasons why "Songs of Solomon" as found in the bible could go extinct if we have our way

I just don't know how to explain it. They are both moral issues, so I think it is easier to express that which will not debauch one's mind...I don't know if you are catching my drift...

so i guess the sin is not in the action
but in the gratifying thoughts

So if I talk and act murder gratifyingly -i should naturally recoil
but per happenstance if it is possible for me to act a xtian movie where i have sexual body encounters and yet dont feel gratified. I am in order

So glorifying violence and murder doesn't debauch one's mind? How is murder worse than sex? Sex is normal behavior. It is a fact of life. It is the reason all of us are here.

Its the just the type of ridiculous prudish behavior that Christians in particular promote that makes us act as if it's a bad thing. Sex is not a dirty secret that we must hide from children at all costs. It is a normal, beautiful thing. By making it a thing of shame, we are just making young people feel unnecessary guilt and causing all manner of psychosexual disorders.

This rubbish has to stop.
