In the camp meeting going on now in Redemption camp by Dominion City Church, Pastor David Ogbueli in his message warned J. Martins who is a committed member of the church. J. Martins who has long gone secular in his musical career has been a member of the church in over a decade and still comes to major programmes where he handles the key board.

Members of the church have always wondered why Pastor David Ogbueli- President of Dominion City well known for his rigid stance on holiness (due to his Deeper Life background)have allowed J. Martins come to church all this while and even handle musical instruments.


But Pastor Ogbueli was very hard on Martins today when he warned him with these words
"You can not lead others to hell with your music and enter heaven through the back door; I am not saying you must play Christian Music but there are secular lyrics that are neutral and pass positive message. There was a place I saw you a pastor wedding PSquare in a video, there's nothing wrong with that but for you to be playing music that promotes lewdness and still be coming to church is not a guarantee you would go to heaven"

J. Martins who started putting on ear rings when he went secular has always made brethren to know that no scandal has ever been associated with him in the industry because he knew where he was coming from. He made it clear that he neither smokes nor womanizes only plays music as "a business". That just as a business man must not label Christ in his products to be regarded as a believer, he is not under any obligation to sing about Christ to be christian.

Jmartins songs are ok. He always acknowledges God in all his songs. The pastor should have told him this in private not in the open. If Jmartins leaves the church now they will say he has backslided....smh

Whether the pastor should have told him in private or not is unimportant 'cos the deed has been done. Nigerians! We are so good at corrections.

The main thing is he corrected him; it's left for our brother-in-the-lord called J martins to listen.

You claim you listen to his songs and der is nothing bad there...ok ooo. But are you God? How can we be sure you are even a christian since this is a faceless forum let alone heaven-conscious?

I do not mean to sound judgmental but the the way to heaven is a narrow path and not for the feeble-minded or those who are hot and cold.

Why wait to get there to confirm which exists? Give your life to Christ and seek truth by asking God to open your eyes of understanding
