The mood within the military top brass is that of caution over the decision by the Federal Government to grant amnesty to Boko Haram Islamic Sect. THISDAY Investigations gathered that the military chiefs were reluctant to give the nod for the amnesty in the first place but have had to bow to pressures from their political masters. The Service Chiefs, especially the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, have been wary of setting a dangerous precedence and believe that the Federal Government must not negotiate from a position of weakness. |

Granting amnesty to boko haram is like welcoming the devil into ur house. they will infiltrate into the whole state in nigeria and launch a deadlier campaign |
