May 7, 2013 -- Nigeria gets 24-hour emergency, information number, 7411 - What is being described as Nigeria's first and only 24-hour national emergency and information number, 7411, has been launched, the online publication Nigerian Communications Week reported Tuesday.

Nigerians requiring emergency assistance can call the number, which has links to Federal Road Safety Corps, police and fire service, among others.

Tagged "7411 bureau of information", the service also has businesses listings, people finders, driving directions, tax advice, address finders, health histories, record back-up, weather forecasts, reverse phone tracker, and jobs finder.

The publication quoted Matt Howard, chief technical officer of the company behind the project, 411ng, as saying the call centre can receive in-bound enquiry calls from over 3,000 Nigerians at a time for now, and that about 27 million enquiries can be processed every day.

so sad to hear dat. I did my oral on june 15. I only saw two ladies who were in my batch dat same day. Meanwhile, the HR guyz said something abt those in our batch but nt invited. My advice is dat while hoping to receive a miracle sms in ds last week of assessment, u nid to move on wit life.
