Overall Purpose of the Job:
To help develop good websites and high tech interface for web applications for a wide range of business clients.
Knowledge and experience required:
A successful applicant must be able to programme in numerous programming languages including:
HTML5
CSS 3
PHP
MYSQL
Javascript
Adobe Fireworks
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Flash
Joomla
Personal Specification:
The ideal applicant will have a high degree of web development knowledge and be educated to at least college level in a related technical subject. Education to degree level is desired and a good portfolio of past work would be an advantage.
The ability to trouble shoot and problem-solve is essential, as is the ability to work alone and to apply initiative. There are likely to be occasions when these skills will be required in a high-pressure. A systematic and conscientious approach to all tasks is essential, as is close attention to detail when dealing with technical issues.
The role requires good verbal and written communication skills for interaction with clients. This includes the ability to explain the advantages of given technologies to non-technical clients in a clear and concise manner so they can make informed decisions. Likewise, the successful applicant must be able to build positive relationships with key clients.
