Only Abuja has such quality of well constructed road anywhere in Nigeria! Yet those Fashola boys will continue to make noise when Fashola plants flowers beside a road in Lagos built by the Federal Government.

I implore all Akwa Ibomites to be moderate in their talk about the current infrastructural dev. by the gov. despite this developement in uyo, many villages still look centuries away from developement. I remember years back when Ibom Hall was built/commisioned many our people boosted of it beingthe best of such hall in Nig; when i came to Lagos i realised that an individual house was bigger and better. I think what we from the state need to do now more than before is to pray God to give us a successor who will equal if not surpass Akpabio's achievement. Let learn from our sister state-CRS after Donal Duke. Finally, let's celebrate Akpabio with modesty instate of doing it in a way that will draw unnecessary enmity from others.

Projects commissioned to mark the State 26th Anniversary:


1)Akpabio commissions 2 brand new general hospitals to complete the 5 new general hospitals that his Administration has built since inception, these were the 5 local government areas that did not have general hospitals,bringing the number of general hospitals in the state to 31. the newly commisioned ones are IKA general @ Ika local govt area and Okoroete general hospital in eastern Obolo LGA.

Its important to note that the state is also building a 290 bed specialist hospital tagged 20th anniversary hospital @ Ekit Itam within the uyo capital city and that construction has reached advanced stage.this is expected to complement/act as a referral hospital for all the hospitals in the state on specialty medical services.

2) commissioning of a VIP guest house in the government house Uyo, built by Julius Berger.

3) Commisioning of about 8km road network withing Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Ikot osurua.

4) commissioning of Abia - ikot etefia road in Mkpat enin LGA constructed by Setraco.
