dont they have critics to pan da film before its gets to us, so the public can avoid them

seems like the producers dnt know how irritated people are even these [s]so called established actors just obey order [/s] !!

sometimes they make mistakes instead of deleting n editing the bit they just carry on like erm how long does it take or why is the producer/director executive producer/executive director there/

i dnt even think the actors watch the films themswelves after wrapping up they just move unto the next 1 !! im sure theyll be laughin at themselves

If nigerians @ home n in diaspora actually critise them and tell them all these fake accents get on people nerves!!

Finally someone who feels me, the whole men , men thing that they do in an attempt to fake American accents is so annoying, did y'all also notice how they always have their criminals or assasins wearing shades and squezzing their faces, it's that supposed to be frightning in some way, it's so annoying. We need a revoultion in Nollywood, cause right now, they think they are all that .

Too much "yabis" on Nollywood. shocked

Please, fellow Nigerians in America, if you want to act or become speech directors, let me know.

If you are really interested and you know you can improve our standards, contact me.

My office can afford to pay for your flight, accommodation, professional fees and more as required by the directors. But, those who are looking for free opportunity to visit home, don't bother to contact me. Because, I know that many Nigerians in America and Europe cannot even afford a return ticket. I mean they are stranded and poor in America and Europe and are too ashamed to ask their families in Nigeria to send them money. grin

Re: Nigerian American Wannabees in Nollywood Movies by abenaaa1(f): 6:42pm On Aug 23, 2006
my god u guys are funny. yeah they do have real fake accents. but hey they are doing something. the only bad thing about nigerian movies are their sound quality that is real bad. the music is soo loud and u don't hear anything they say. i really used to love watching them when i was back home in ghana. but there is no way am taking like $6 or $12 to buy a nigerian movie. $12 or more cus they are come in part 1,2 or 3 and six dollars for each one, hell no. but hey try watching a ghanaian movie and u will count urself blessed to have ur nigerian actors/actress. cheesy

Re: Nigerian American Wannabees in Nollywood Movies by spoilt(f): 2:34pm On Jul 05, 2008
I hate when they try to fake accents. I hate it.
Because your son went to study abroad for 4 years doesnt automatically means he should come back with a bad accent. many have lived here for donkey years and still sound the same way.

Jim Iyke is the biggest offender of this crime. Oh my God! Sometimes I just want to reach into the TV and slap him senseless. unowamsayin?

He thinks talking like that makes him a badass punk but he just comes off a sissy punk. unowarramean.

They all need to QUIT and talk properly. It's bad enough we have to put up with their asinine storylines and headache inducing soundtracks we don't need the added pressure of trying to understand what they are saying. garraberealnow

I wouldnt say these nollywood actors are wannabes .

It happens everywhere i have watched a couple of movies with british actors putting on a very bad american accent and some movies with american actors having very bad british or scotish accent.

If an actor doesn't sound convincing enough then his crime is that he is a BAD actor not a wannabe american.

Jim Iyke does not sound as bad a Emeka Enyiocha and that Stephanie Fakereke Okereke angry angry
