Let the brand wars begin... The main character in this MTN ad was until recently a very prominent ambassador for the competition Etisalat who featured in most of their ads... It all started here: Etisalat https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc31KE3K99Q and moved here: MTN https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUVdnzC19oU This Day Live "Nigerian mobile phone subscribers have joined subscribers in other countries worldwide that port their numbers from one network operator to another with the inauguration of the first phase of the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) service by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) http://naijablazingspot..com/2013/04/let-brand-wars-begin-mtn-vs-etisalat.html |

For me, i do not really see any issues with His switching to MTN for advert o. Ok here; on the Etisalat advert the ad concludes with the word NETWORK of which the NE was in Etisalat colour while TWO in yellow (MTN) and RKS in Red. which means he'll still place advert for Airtel soonest... so don't loud it yet after all the man is out to make his money. |

I don't think this ad is just about SAKA alone, it is more about the competition between MTN and Etisalat because with this switch in brand ambassador has a lot of challenges for Etisalat. Etisalat can't use any ad or billboard that has SAKA on it for advertisement again. Waiting to see Etisalat's response. |
