''Lagos State Government,in collaboration with the management of Nigeria Railway Corporation, NRC, has set up a machinery to curtail the menace of passengers hanging on train in within the Lagos rail lines.

Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Kayode Opeifa, spoke after a brief meeting with the management of NRC, led by its Managing Director, Engineer Adeseyi Sijuwade, in Alausa, yesterday."

He said the partnership would also aim to tackle security threats and concerns along the rail routes.To achive this, a task force has been set up to ensure a implementation

Some of the challenges mentioned by the Commissioner were; the incessant hanging of passengers on the train, street trading and encroachment by members of road transport......
