if you android version is from 4.0 upwards, u don't need tunko. clear data, reinstall, make sure ur username and password is correct,set ur udp port to 500,use blackBerry.net as ur apn and keep clicking connect till it connects

No phone under ANY Android OS can work with DroidVPN without its own compatible tun.ko module already present.

And, not all devices with OS 4.0 & above have a compatible tun.ko module already installed or embedded from the factory or via a custom ROM oo...especially if it is not a mainstream phone.

Unfortunately, all OS versions need a compatible tun.ko module. So, if a compatible tun.ko module is not already loaded on your phone, & the tun.ko installer cannot locate & load one for you from the DroidVPN database, then I'm afraid you're out of luck, & you can't use DroidVPN in the meantime.

You just have to make a request & wait for someone to upload a compatible one for your phone to the DroidVPN database, so the installer can help you load it. Sorry, there's no other way around it - at least not that I know of.
