Killing Of Igbos Must End Now —S’East Monarchs
30.04.2013, 8:33 Local
Traditional rulers in the South-East region of the country,
under the aegis of the South-East Council of Traditional
Rulers, on Monday called on President Goodluck Jonathan to
do all within his power to end the killings of the Igbos in
parts of the country.
The monarchs made the call during a closed-door session they
had with the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The delegation, led by the council's chairman, who is also the Obi
of Obinugwu, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, included the Eshimotee of
Azara-Obiofo Kingdom, Imo state, Eze C. A. Osuebi ; Chairman of
the Enugu Council of Traditional Rulers, Igwe Osisi Itodo-Agu;
and the Egwu Uga 1 of Umuosu Oaiugu Nkwoegwu autonomous
community, Umuahia North Local Government of Abia State, Eze
Nzenwata Mbakwe, among others.
Ilomuanya, who addressed the President on behalf of the group,
said the Igbos leaders had resolved that "enough is enough" of
the unnecessary shedding of blood of their sons and daughters
across the country.
According to a copy of the address, made available to journalists
at the end of the meeting, the traditional ruler said of more
concern to the group was that successive governments in the
country had failed to address the ugly situation.
He said, "The blood of innocent Igbos has flown enough in
Nigeria through tribal and religious attacks and no government
has said anything about it.
"The Igbos have also lost much properties and other valuables to
extremists in Nigeria, still we all are watching. It is therefore our
wish to state in strong terms that enough is enough.
"One can start to imagine why Boko Haram sect has chosen to
bomb churches, markets, motor parks and other places where the
Igbos converge in their large numbers, especially in the Northern
Nigeria.
"We therefore call on the Federal Government to take necessary
measures to offer the Igbos the deserved security and protection
in Nigeria. Nigeria belongs to all of us and there is no religion or
tribe that is superior to others."

Instead of going to Aso Rock and complaining to a man who doesn't give a fucck about the lives of ndi igbo being sacrificed as a result of him being in power, why don't these monarchs tell ndi igbo in the north to come back home? Their visit is futile!

I think the useless group called OHANEZE will have a different opinion or they will travel to sokoto to give their moral support to boko haram amnesty.

It seems that those igbos living in northern Nigeria has a date with untimely death. Do they need any human to tell them that they are not safe in northern Nigeria.

Of course they are in support of Amnesty to those who Slaughtered their brothers instead of asking the FG to compensate the family of the igbos especially who lost their lives. Ohanaeze..... ike ha agwu la m!
