By INUSA NDAHI, MAIDUGURI Dr. Shettima Ali Monguno, Borno Elderstateman and the first minister of petroleum, has been kidnapped by gunmen suspected to be terrorists soon after he performed his Friday congregational prayers at Mafoni ward of Maiduguri metropolis. Mafoni is a stronghold of Boko Haram Islamic sect. The Special Adviser on Communications to Governor Kashim Shettima, Alhaji Isa Umar Gusau confirmed the incident. Dr. Monguno before his kidnapping, is a strong agitator for the withdrawal of JTF troops from Borno.
