Governor Theodore Orji of Abia state yesterday returned from his week long economic trip to Canada and described his trip as “a huge success”.

Governor Orji said the trip “has opened the doors of the state to investors from Canada to invest in the state”.
Addressing Abians who thronged the Umuahia Government House Banquet Hall, shortly after his return, he said he had discussed areas of interest with the interested investors.
Accompanied by his wife, Odochi and other top government functionaries, the Governor explained that very soon, the result of the visit would begin to manifest.

Before returning home, Orji said that he had instructed some of his aides to continue the discussion with the Canadian investors after which the investors would visit the state for further discussions and possible actions.

The Governor gave areas of interest that the discussions were held to include environmental control, oil and gas, mining, and agriculture, pointing out that he assured them of adequate security of their investments in the state.

According to Orji, the investment summit would strengthen the bilateral relationship between Nigeria and Canada. He also disclosed that he used the opportunity to interact with Abians who are resident in Canada.

He maintained that the trip was in the overall interest of the state, affirming that he was in governance to change the face of Abia even as he promised not to disappoint Abians.

You people will always complain and complain! Yesterday it was Rochas, today it's Orji. Tomorrow it might be Elechi. Can you people say at least something good about the South east governors and their achievements? Why passing negative comments?
