@ xtanburg ,The date on my WAEC certificate is correct which is april 25..but the date on my GCE certificate says may 29 and I have been using my gce certificate because I didn't pass the major subjects in my waec but I made my GCE results at one sitting. Since it was a month diff in my date of birth and the waec oFficials den said nothn can be done about it, I went on to swear an affidavit using the date of birth on my GCE..through out my registration as an undergraduate becos I didn't think I'll need my waec..now I don't know what to do, if I try to rectify the gce before documentation, do u think dat'll help? Or should I just present my waec certificate altho the subjects on it are incomplete? Please I need an urgent reply before I lose my mind.

I wanted to add that someone helped me to fill my GCE certificate back den, hence the mistake in my date of birth but I wrote the GCE when I was in ss2 in nov 2004 while I wrote my waec in 2005. I couldn't have been thinking of falsifying my age in ss2 and to think dat one would falsify their age by a month gap? It dosnt make any sense..so I don't know if I should go to fbn and explain on d day of documentation d one month disparity in my certificates or just see if I can rectify it before then.. Yes u will need to adjust it . I remember I hav the same problem. My year and month is the same while d day on my birth certificate is 10th, my waec cert is 8th. Wen I wrote UBA test I was told to work on it b4 interview so it will surely hold for FBN too.

Yes my friend, you still fall within the age bracket of fbn because you just clocked 27 two months ago and fbn said you musnt be more than 27 as at june 2013..so technically u'll still be 27 until august next year by which time you would have successfully joined the bank(by God's grace)

One of FBN's requirement said dat we must have our nysc discharge certificate or an exemption certificate..so if you don't have any of that and you proceed with documentation, dat automatically disqualifies you..unless there is a way you can plead with them to defer your recruitment to join d next batch and by then u'll have ur discharge cert..that is assuming the trainin will be in batches..but I don't know if fbn is dat considerate cos they really sounded very strict during d documentation process briefing..

Once you can present your testimonial, its also a go for you. Birth Certificate from General Hospital is Acceptable, but you need to show your WAEC certificate to confirm the date.

@Xtanburg, thanks for your help on this thread. During the documentation briefing, there was no mention of primary school certificate, will it be required? I stopped at primary 5 and I dont have the testimonial or certificate. Pls help. Thanks

Please I think everyone should calm down and focus on being shortlisted for the Personality test first b4 the Documentation and Medical exercise. Many people would be dropped(God forbid) at this Personality test stage. At this stage, there are no wrong or right answers to the questions you will be administered, they just need you to prove, display and give answers in detail, though tricky the questions about your personality are, as they focus on discovering how you will function well at work. I think I have explained this in detail, and what you need to know, so asking more questions ( about documentation and age) will just cause more confusion. Please take time to read closely, U will understand and know what to do.

Remember, focus on passing your personality test, if U don't have the right working attitude FBN requires, u wont be invited for Documentation and that probably would be the end. So focus on Passing this and discard the Documentation part for now.

During documentation if successful and invited, you will be given a form to fill. Upon completion, U will have to defend everything you wrote down and present supporting documents. So if they ask about your primary school and U disregard that part, no one will ask you for any document. But your sixth sense should tell U the requirement for entry level role in FBN; Ur BSc, Masters, Prof. certification, NYSC etc.

U wld require a letter from your registrar acknowledging dat u r yet to b given ur original certificates. One of d assessors who briefed us on d documentation procedure emphatically stated dis on the day of my Assessment. I don't think d ongoing strike wld stop u from getting such a letter. Request for such letters are handled by NASU staffs and not Academic staffs

Hello FBN hopefuls, it's really been a while now and I must say I miss this thread so much...... I actually have gotten an F.G. appointment and thus missed the AC exercise. Following this thread has taught me a lot and I must say this: You guys are wonderful! My prayer is dat God will grant you all your heart desires as HE did to me. U're the best. Today is that day dat I had d worst banking recruitment experience of my life..imagine we were invited for documentation and interview in Ibadan..yes..Ibadan and we were waiting outside d door since 8am till 5pm..and d worst moment came wen d cordinator showed absurd guts to tell us that they've found d ppl they need and we should all go home till further notice..no forms to fill,no documents or credentials submitted,nothing!..and they even showed no hidden credence in showcasing their man-know-man attitude by bringing out some small teared sheet of paper with names written on it and calling some ppl in one after the other...highest evidence of tribalism also involved..and YES I said this.."One of the coordinating staffs actually told us that all the interviewers have their own candidates"..my point is:*why invite so many ppl wen u already have ur candidates?..*how could u stand ppl up for a whole day without a single courtesy?(PS-dis ppl came from different states with nowhere to sleep)...*e nogo beta for FBN ibadan branch!...if u are wondering which bank..yea u saw FBN..its First bank..d headquarter gangan @ molete challenge road and all dis happened today the 14th of NOVEMBER,2013..quote me!

If any of d above applies to u den how come no other person on this thread attend d 'documentation' exercise? Could it be that FBN are already sending msgs/mails to candidates who passed their AC? Plz is there anyone on this thread who's gotten any such msgs?

Seeing the guy's message however, I don't think he applied for "Graduate Trainee". Cos I don't think the documentation stage can b that fast for us who did Graduate Trainee

Let me clarify something here, fbn do recruits service executives too, its a contract job and it was their interview that was done @ ibadan yesterday,I think that was what the guy was referring to, though it was also anchored by workforce.FBN is yet to get across to peolpe that did their interview.
