See how Nigerians think one-sidedly. We just dont want to see the bigger picture.
If this were to be a white community this man wld be supported by the people (however old he may be). This is because they wld know in the back of their mind tht this man even though it seems tht he is fighting for himself, in the real sense he is fighting for something much bigger.
When (if) some day some of u who ve jocked on this man's expense wld ve the cause to run to the Government for help and you get ignored then u wld see the significance of his actions.

The blacks and other ethnic groups in America did not over whelmingly vote for Obama simply because he was handsome and charismatic. They voted for him because they knew tht tht was d chance they had to brake tht jinxs and open the way for evry other tribes to take a surer shot at leadership in America.
This man Bash Ali is not fighting for himself alone he is fighting (unknowingly maybe) for the liberty of U and I.
Think outside the box Nigeria.

Na lie lie, nobody go support am for the so called white community. For that community, no body go get his time, the government too, no go dey involved. If the government tryam, dem go show where the congress appropriate that kind money for individual quest for glory. Make Bash Ali go siddon. Wetin eim dey do na private quest for glory wey no go help nigeria in any way. Make e go find money for private people pocket. We get better things to do with our money.

Boxing bouts are usually organized by promoters. The fact that no promoter is interested in the fight is an indication of his poor popularity & low market value.

I bet Bash could be physically fit than most people calling him old man in their writing. I once watched George Foreman in the 90s in a professional fight at 50 years. Professional sportsmen could be physically strong for many years after retirement.
Re: Bash Ali Protests At PDP Secretariat Over World Record Bid by andyanders: 7:47pm On May 20, 2013
In fact, Bash Ali should just humble himself and ask for them to raise money for him to take care of his old age than coming here to ask them to stage a fight that will end up sending him to the grave and incurring any expenses on the federal government.
What did he do with the money he earned from his so called past achievements?
He has no wife, no children and no house. He stays in hotels. He said he does not want any liability of having a wife and children.

My thoughts exactly. On the other hand, why doesn't he approach a corporate outfit to sponsor the fight.I'm pretty sure if he puts forward a credible case on why the fight should be staged, the pugilist might just win one or two companies over

there is usually a level that the ccountry is suppose to take sports to before promoters take over.

This guy is an eediot. Since when did boxing become a socialist sport?

If there is a demand for his fight, a private boxing promoter will pick it up.

This guy is actively seeking his own sucide, he should contact peters and ask him about his ordeal in the ring.

For this guy, there would be 2 standby ambulances waiting to take his body to the morgue, juju won't save him.

Earlier this month, he wrote a lenghty letter to President Goodluck Jonathan to alert him of official bureaucracy, which had prevented the support the government promised for the staging of the fight in the country.
Sorry Bash, the president seems to be too engrossed in the insurgency in Borno and other strongholds of Boko haram. Maybe you should continue to pray for him till he tames them then come back with your request.

Do you even know what you are saying, if he were to be your dad, would you support him on this his suicide mission?

Pugilism is not a Mediocre sport, it's very harzardous and if you ain't fit, you might as well be risking your life. People have had their brain damaged or died in the ring.

There is is no country in the world that would support a man of that age to get into the ring, no insurance would cover that fight. Go as Holyfield

On serious note Seun, this your 21 laws of power or whatever is annoying, kindly remove this laws to enable us reply without reading same thing everyday.

I never for one day see Yahoo or Google law
Do not say I told u: he may be bowing to some commandments from somewhere.
Come to think of it some comments that completely breach some of these rules go unsanctioned while some obvious innocous one are hiddened. I hope it is not a case of different stroke for different folks.

Not really... The president know that Bash Ali stands the chance of meeting any of the Klishkow brothers and he didnt want the man to die in his regime. Obasanjor escaped it, Yar'adua did, Jonathan will follow suit.
Re: Bash Ali Protests At PDP Secretariat Over World Record Bid by onatisi(m): 8:52pm On May 20, 2013

maryjames9: You get Government? Where dem? Oh,those ones for Rock Aso,abi na Aso Rock? Those old men went to represent their pockets and family, not you. Again, this man deserves attention from his government. He has served the nation well, won titles for his country. Now,he want to cap his career with this "historic fight",except if there's something i'm yet to read,he deserves to be listened to by his president like most normal nation. I guess ours is obviously abnormal. We'l rather pump billions to build a house for First lady, have minister made deal of 56triln than spend millions to hold a fight so desperately important to a common Bash Ali. Do we even "give a damn" about each other b4? FG should listen to him as a citizen as they should to any man out there.
. Yes! I agree that he should be listen to, but he shouldn't be given the chance to commit sucide. Who ever should send this man to the ring should be considered a wicked person.
