awodman:
Oga what was shown by CHANNELS is a ROT that has accumulated for several years..the president cannot be everywhere at the same time...so that is why we need likes of CHANNELS and other media houses to EXPOSE THIS ROT which has been going on for DECADES..so that CORRECTIVE actions like this can be taken

Jonathan has been in government since 1999
And in Abuja since 2007
The president cannot be everywhere except in Akure to ground Amaechi's jet
and hold Sunday meetings to preside over the election of PDP gov forum chairman

nijanigga: In a country where the culture of maintenance is a alien, give the structure one year at most,it will be back to square one.

This is called hopelessness. You are gone past redemption.

Use your brain dude. Of course the President should go into ever police/army or whatever installations, checking their toilets to see if they are ok or not. Can you guys say these type of rubbish to Obasanjo or Yar Adua or even Abacha or Babangida? I expect you to say this is democracy with freedom of speech, but them, every freedom comes with a responsibility. Use your brain, dude.

@ eko ile, Please forget about channels TV...
If president GEJ did nothing about it, will you impeach him for that. Learn to appreciate good things and forget about politics here. I have never voted and never been part of any political party ever...but GEJ is doing a great job.

Police college got a face lift first time in over 30 years.

Nigerian Rail way was rehabilated first time in 50 years. ( the NRC is on its track to involving private investors (PPP) which will provide modern coaches with less travel hours)

Power infracstructures were maintained and new power generation plants built first time in over 40 years.

What did we do about OBJ power project fraud/scam...all we could see were empty piece of land with heavy bush that were yet to be cleared and it all ended with power project probe....nothing was done at the end.

For the interest of Nigeria and for the interest of your unborn children...forget about politics and focus one what is good for the country.

GAR3TH: As good as this news is its doesn't solve any of the real problems that the police college has.

You can continue to paint the buildings with a new coat of paint, replace the roofs and plant flowers but who is to say in one year we will be back to were we were before, with another degraded police college.

The main problem with the college was not the infrastructure but rather the incompetent college administration leaders who were suppose to keep the college from degrading and failed.

Why are they all still in their positions after failing to live up to their responsibilities. Renovation of the college is good and I appreciate it but I do not like that the people who caused this did not get charged or fired.

Only in Nigeria will a gun be charged with murder while the killer walks away free.

If you want to know who the corrupt police officers responsible for the decay are, do this: go through the training school's chronicle of command for the past 30yrs, find out who the Commandant is, also find out who were the Ogas in charge of Works/Maintenance/Engineering for the past 30 yrs. The govt always releases maintenance grant annually through defence budgets but the school Commandant and Works/Maintenance/Engineering police officer do kill and divide of the maintenance grant. If you can do the digging, you will know who is to blame.
