awest african teams might lack creative midfilders, but certainly not nigeria. we have
stanley okoro,haruna lukman,rabiu ibrahim and emmanuel ekpo all these midfilders are skillfull ball jugglers except lukman, so nigeria is not lacking in that department the problem for us is that we have a useless coach that always believe in old players. imagine how better nigeria would have been if kanu and utaka was dropped for okoro and ibrahim

obasi is miles better than anichebe the only problem is that people don't want to realise that he is a striker not a winger. because he is short and skillful they wants to turn him to a winger but if i was him i would just tell the coach direct am a striker not winger.  this team i put here can win anybody but the problem is the bench there is nobody there that can change the game if something is going wrong. remember there is no difference between amodu and lagerback

Reactions are blowing like wild fire over the official list of 23 players for the Super Eagles’ campaign at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

With the listed players named early Monday by Eagles’ coach, Lars Lagerback, varied opinion has met the exclusion of Akpan Bassey, Apam Onyekachi, Terna Suswan, Peter Utaka, Victor Anichebe, Ikechukwu Uche and Brown Ideye from the Nigerian squad to Nelson Mandela’s country.

However, Eagles team coordinator, Emmanuel Attah told brilafm.net during a live chat from London that a lot of factors were considered before Lars Lagerback arrived at his final hit list to the Mundial.

“The coach has given the reason and we understand what he wants. Ideye had visa problems and was given some tests in training but could not meet up.

“Victor Anichebe also had some training to confirm his fitness, but we saw that he is injured. The coach said we cannot take injured players to the World Cup.

“As for Ikechukwu, he is still rehabilitating,” said the chairman of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Football Association

what kind of useless experimenting is this, now is no more time for experimenting he now knows all nigeria players and he should put out his best 11 so they can flow together, and if lagerback thinks that by playing 3 defensive midfilders against a team that is not ranked in top 40 of fifa ranking then he is mad. if we were playing spain, then it makes sense but colombia, after spending 200,000 a month for putting a worse 11 than amodu. as usual we know what we should expect form this team just mark out osaze and obinna then game over.

iyeneda i never said i don't like anichebe but i said that we should not hype him too much. against argentina we would need someone to hold the ball but someone that can also move body, and yakubu is not an option for me so the next person that is big powerful and strong is anichebe. if martins,i uche wear tall i would have put them, but they are shot.
