CHARLOE: Pls some1 help; d drop down arrow for local gov area in d applicatn is not functioning, what do i do?Applied for my fiance yesterday, same thing happened. Thought the problem was only for Ekiti state till i tried other states, still same. Applied like that though and it accepted it. Minister for Interior, Abba Moro There are indications the ongoing recruitment in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has been stalled due to lack of budgetary provision for it in the 2013 budget. A source within the service, who feared that the millions of applicants might have paid the controversial N1,000 registration fee in vain disclosed this. As regards the recruitment exercise been conducted by the Civil Defense, Fire , Immigration and Prisons Services Board (CDFIPB), there is no controversy over the issue with immigration authorities since the Board is exercising its statutory responsibility having to do with the recruitment, promotion and discipline of officers.
