That show is total nonsense. There is nothing reasonable to learn from it. If I had my way, I would ban it from being viewed in Nigeria. Viewing it will lead to fatal consequences.

Utter waste of time for the time-conscious and purpose-driven. Season one was the only 'meaningful' edition. Happy watching!

technically you dont know the winner until Matchday 38 (Spain, England) and 34 (Bundesliga)

A season takes almost 10 months

Besides, one wouldn't watch every match...there are options!

Besides, 380 games in premier league will take 380x2hrs=760hrs making it just 32days to watch all the matches, and you are gonna have time to do some other important things without even missing a match!

Is my calculation right?

I had always dismissed the BBA as a waste of time until I made out time to see BBA7 (Stargame).

The show gives you the opportunity to see life from different perspectives. Different opinions, actions and reactions. I was shocked!

Its just a reflection of our everyday lives. Betrayals, backbitting, lies, false accusation, pretentious lives, high temperament.

BBA made me realize that people are diffent and will always understand things differently. I also got to understand that some smilly all is well people we see everyday can be very sad people when they resign to their various homes.

And as for the culture thing, what exactly do they do in BBA that we Africans don't do in our various homes? Alcohol, promiscuity, sex, lies, dance etc?

Honestly, I find BBA more educating than entertaining! shocked

like seriously, if BBA teaches you all these things, then you need to go out and mix with people more often to know how real life is. if i were in there, i will act what you want just to get the moola.

The show is a waste of time watching what you experience everyday. 'that's if you mix with real people'

Inik: Will you be watching the big brother Africa Season 8 show?
Some people view the show as a waste of time and a show that impacts nothing meaningful on the viewer.
Some others view it as a show that does not reflect our African culture and values.
Some people say the only reason the show is still running is because Dstv makes millions of rand from subscribers and advertisers.

Do you watch Big brother Africa? What are the benefits of watching the 90 days show?
u dont waste time u only spend it

BBA is TV programme that should not entice normal person because all the participants are full of lies. They repackage their attitudes all in the name of become winner. They are like actors/actress featuring in a movie as characters.

I call it a waste of time by jobless people being paid for by jobless people.
doesn't make sense, where would jobless people get the money to pay subscription?
Re: What Do You Benefit From Watching The Big Brother Africa Show? by beeboy09(m): 10:05pm On May 27, 2013
Hey! Its called entertainment because you only get entertained. Its like asking for entertainment while watching News meanwhile you already see that station showing news. If you want to get educated go to school or watch documentaries, sports? Go to sports channels, cartoons? Go to cartoon network. Don't come and start asking for education in a reality tv program aimed as a competition. Na wa o

Two different things!
One you will know the final before the end of 3hrs, that include extra time and penalty kicks!

And the other, the winner is gonna be after 90DAYS for God's sake!

A wife can still cope with Man U fan as husband, but a man coping with BBA fan as wife na DIE o!

Chiil abeg. The fact that the show is running 24-7 does not mean you should watch it 24-7 too. Haba, even the most jobless person will not watch bba that way. The highlight is what most people watch which is just an hour.

And no, they are not different, they both are for entertainment. No one should dictate anyone's preference for entertainment.

What about those that play PS3 and other games for hours? Do they gain anything? Its all about preferences.

Na wa o. So for your mind now, everyone who watches bba remains glued to the tv all day without doing something else?..funny. No1 can be that jobless..

For bba, you get to watch it anytime you feel like for the next three months.

Btw, I wonder those who watch the show o because almost everybody here is claiming too busy and too holy to watch it. When I went to dstv office to request for bba channel, the queue I met was a verrrryyyyyy long one, young and old, jobless and jobful. I even saw some 'responsible' looking daddies and was wondering why they were on the same queue with me the 'irresponsible one'.

The show comes up after the football season. It is a program design to make people continue to subscribe to dstv for the three months of non football.
That is business sense! But I will rather watch NatGeoWild, confed cup and pre-season friendlies. BBA don't just make any sense to me.

Dude, so after spending all these years on this planet. Having interacted with people from nursery, primary, secondary and possibly tertiary institution, you had to learn all these from BBA? I guess people are truly getting dumber than what we were told. Either that or you never had a real life interaction with other human beings.
