from the things you have said there are many possibilitiies
1. you have to know that several other persons complain of it
2. with help yu can overcome it
3. you probably have social phobia, and that is a best guess
4. the tension you feel and the fear you experience is because you are afraid of being embarrassed in public
5. breathing exercises help
6. telling a close friend to tell you to look him/her in the face when you talk helps
7. other lines of help will depend on what other complaints you might have
8. you can see a clinicl psychologist

paranoia is a common term often used as the word paranoid
africans must rank as the most paranoid people on earth
1. a westerner has a disease his gp can't diagnose he goes searching for a specialist, from state to state, country to country until it is diagnosed
2. an african has the same problem, after two consults, the health system is either moribund or his success has brought about the envy of his step mother in the village.
3. western politicians are hurt about criticsms, but are constructive enough to look at the criticism
4. the african, shouts; character assasination, libel, insurbodination, death threats, political envy, personal attack
5. a son is abusing drugs, the parents in africa never look inwards at all, they believe he was forced into it, cults must have caused it, family friends want their downfall
6. neighbours weigh the way greetings are said, the way clothes are hung to dry, the snack their child eats with playmates
it goes on and on
all this makes for fear, fear, fear and more fear
