The Sokoto state chapter of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has disowned the National Working Committee, NWC of the party over its decision to suspend Governor Aliyu Wamakko from the party.
The NWC, after its Wednesday meeting, suspended Mr. Wamakko for alleged anti-party activities.

The decision of the state chapter of the party was announced Thursday in Sokoto in a press conference addressed by the state commissioner of Agriculture, Mohammed Arzuka Tureta, on behalf of the State Working Committee, SWC.
PREMIUM TIMES learnt that Mr. Tureta addressed the media on behalf of the SWC, despite the presence of the chairman, Sabo Madawaki, because the latter cannot communicate in English language.

All the other members of the State Working Committee were also present at the briefing, except the secretary, Aminu Bello who had earlier been suspended by the NWC for accepting to reply a letter sent to the Governor by the National Chairman of the Party, Bamanga Tukur.

The Sokoto PDP leaders in their address said they felt betrayed by the NWC in hastily taking the decision to suspend Mr. Wamakko without recourse to the party executive at the state level which contravenes article 21 of the PDP constitution.

They added that Mr. Wamakko had been a loyal and committed member of the party in the state, under whose leadership the party recorded 100 per cent success in all elective offices.
The state party leaders advised the national secretariat to “stop listening to rumours mongering, hearsay and unsubstantiated claims by Abuja based Sokoto state politicians”.

They also argued that what the PDP needs at this moment is for “all hands to be deck in unity at all levels,” adding that “we wish to affirm our loyalty to his Excellency Governor Magatakarda Wamakko who is the leader of the PDP in Sokoto state”.

The english word 'implode' is synonymous to 'caved in', in either way it occured, the only people who get affected when a structure implodes are the residents that are currently in it. Most times, a little space outside the imploding structure are affected, and the debris that couldn't find their way inside the structure may injure the 'wandering /lobbying' few outside it.

Anyone that understands Nigeria will agree that Pres Jonathan won the 2015 presidential election the day he installed Chief Aneni as Chairman, PDP BOT, against Obasanjo's candidate Col Ahmadu Alli.
