50calibre: What type of country is this? Other nations are being forecast to surpass their peers in growth and GDP, Nigeria is surpassing in population. Is Nigeria hell fire or what?

It's high Nigeria starts a sterilisation program or adopt China's one child policy.

Delete yourself from this planet to start the campaign.

I'm not happy about this news unless Niger, Chad, Benin and Cameroon join Nigeria. We need room to expand abeg.

It's no big deal if it happens. Nigeria is in Africa, a land very suitable for human habitation whereas the United States is in North America, a frozen land like Europe that is unfit for human beings to live, except for those mutated albinos aka oyibos. Nigeria has plenty of land and can support a huge population while still being able to be prosperous. Our African neighbours are not densely-populated so Nigerians can always move out of our border and populate the neighbouring countries, like Cameroon, Gabon, Chad, Central African Republic, Benin, Togo, Niger, Burkina Faso, etc.

Our large population is our strength. It's what makes us the Giant of Africa. FG should encourage people to have more children, and subsidise raising children.

This shows the level of poverty in the country. Nigeria surpassing USA in population doesnt sound like a good news. It sounds more like famine, disaster, and endtime in Nigeria.

It still amazes me how Nigerians abroad are the ones with the greatest disregard and negativity towards Nigeria yet they fail to make meaningful impact where they reside.

According to the report, Nigeria's population will increase because of our fertility rate.

I fail to see how that is a problem; after all the basic necessity of life is housing, food and clothes and an average Nigerian family has that.

The issue should be how to take full advantage of the situation.
