The show ‘Big Brother Africa’ no doubt has generated a lot of controversies in recent times. Worthy of note is the fact that the sponsors or organizers are near-faceless, the show exhibits low moral value and the in itself falls short of what is expected in these days where clamour for the good old days when cultural and good moral values was at its peak.
I was ‘opportune’ to watch the opening gala when BBA contestants were ushered in to the house. From there, I developed great interest as to what will become of the contestants during the course of the show. I’d followed the program closely for a week before I fully realize the full negative effect it could have on the society at large (Even the so-called ‘above 18’). Though many have criticized the show based on the negative effect it could have on the society especially the youth, I criticize both from the moral and spiritual angle.
1. Why is it that name of God was part of the words edited from BBA? Included are words like Bleep, Shit etc. Take note of this when any contestant wants to exclaim O my ***!
2. Why is it that only contestants of questionable characters and unstable background were allowed into the house. Examples are Pokello who released a soft porn some weeks before the commencement of the program. Hakeem who came from a separated family. Our own Beverly who discussed with a housemate on how she aborted at 17 and play on the intelligence of men for money. Angelo and LK4 who displays nothing of mental ability but tattoos and booze. The list is endless.
3. Why is it that ‘Angels’ that come to assist them in various tasks are always in black? The last time I checked, only Satanic agents wears black.
4. Is there any lesson to be learnt from BBA apart from sexual obsession, Alcohol, Smoking, Tattoo, etc? If there is, what are these lessons that can justify this high level of moral degradation?
5. Finally, I will like to ask, WHO IS REALLY THE BIG BROTHER AND WHY DOES HE CHOOSE TO SPEAK IN THAT MANNER?
I will overlook the choice of their logo before I’m accused of being obsessed with Illuminati.

Honestly, I do not intend to insult you but your post is very childish. BBA does not teach you morals. It is pure entertainment. If you are in search of morals you have to seek it elsewhere. The colour black has nothing to do with satanic impressions. It is the early founders of the church to ascribe the colour black to be devilish. I do not watch BBA except evictions (just to be informed) because I find it boring watching a group of people doing nothing but talk.
