Candidates for the position of a Senior Lecturer must possess good first and second Degrees in Demography or cognate relevant disciplines such as Sociology, Economics, Public Health etc. as well as a PhD in Demography from a recognized University within or outside Nigeria.

Applicants must have at least six years of post-doctoral University full-time teaching and research experiences. Evidence of research and publications in reputable national and international journals and proven ability to conduct and supervise student related researches are essential.

Candidates applying for the position of a Graduate Assistant should possess a minimum of B.Sc. Degree in Demography and Social Statistics from a reputable university with at least Second Class Upper Division. Completion of course work in Master of Science Degree in Demography and Social Statistics will be an added advantage.

Candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer should possess a basic Degree in Dental Surgery (B.D.S.,B.Ch.D) from a reputable institution. He/she should be a member of the Fellowship of West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) or National Postgraduate Medical College (FCMDS) and minimum of ten (10) Scientific publications in reputable Medical/Dental Journals within and outside Nigeria among which candidate should be first author in at least two. Copies of full length
publication should be submitted with the application.

Candidates for the post of Lecturer Ii must possess Bachelors Degree in Medicine and Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) or its equivalent); Dental Surgery (B.Ch.D or its equivalent) plus a Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Pharmacology. A candidate currently registered for Ph.D Degree programme will have an added advantage.

3. Faculty of Pharmacy
i. Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Administration

Junior Trainee Fellow - CONUASS 01
Areas of Specialization: Clinical Pharmacy or Pharmacy Practice

Candidates for the post of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer 1 must possess a Ph.D in Clinical Pharmacy or Pharmacy Practice from a recognized university. In addition, the candidates should have at least 5 years of teaching and research experience in a university, registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria with a current annual license to practice. There should be clear evidence of ability to supervise Postgraduate students.

Candidates for the post of Junior Trainee Fellow should have a B.Pharm or B.Sc. Pharm (honours) Degree from an accredited Faculty of Pharmacy. Must be registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria with a current annual license to practice. Motivation to pursue postgraduate studies in Management or Clinical Pharmacy along with excellent communication
and interpersonal skills are essential. Age limit for this position is thirty five (35) years.

ii. Department of Pharmaceutics
Position: Junior Trainee Fellow -
CONUASS 01
Areas of Specialization
Pharmaceutical Technology or Pharmaceutical Microbiology

Candidates for the post of Junior Trainee Fellow must be a Pharmacy graduate not above 30 years of age with excellent qualifications and desire for postgraduate training in Pharmaceutical Technology or Pharmaceutical Microbiology. Candidates are expected to have completed the National Youth Service Scheme and be fully registered with Pharmacists
Council of Nigeria.

iii. Department of Pharmacognosy
Positions: Junior Trainee Fellow -
CONUASS 01
Areas of Specialization: Pharmacy

Candidates for the position of Junior Trainee Fellow must have B.Pharm. Degree (a GPA of not less than Second Class Lower Grade), NYSC Discharge Certificate, and be a Registered Pharmacist. No work experience required.

4. Faculty of Environmental Design and Management
(a) Department of Architecture
Position: Assistant Lecturer - CONUASS 02
Areas of Specialization: Housing and Urban Studies

Candidates for the post of Assistant Lecturer must possess a professional Masters Degree in Architecture from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife or any other equivalent Institution. He/She must have registered for an M.Phil/Ph.D Research programme in Architecture with special focus on housing and urban Studies and providing a clear evidence of progress being made.

(b) Department of Building

Area of Specialization: Building

Candidates for the position of a Graduate Assistant should possess a good Bachelor Degree (B.Sc) in building from Obafemi

Candidates for the position of a Graduate Assistant must possess a B.Sc. Degree in Mathematics, and currently pursuing M.Sc. Degree in Applied Mathematics in a recognized institution or University. A clear evidence of having obtained a Ph.D. grade in Course works will serve as an added advantage.

Candidates for the post of Lecturer II should possess a B.Sc. Degree in Numerical Analysis with a minimum of Second Class
(Lower division), M.Sc. and Ph.D. Degree in Numerical Analysis from reputable Universities. Candidates for the post of a Professor must possess M.Sc and Ph.D Degrees in Statistics or Actuarial Science from a recognized University
or Universities. Candidates must be willing and ready to teach a wide range of courses in Statistical sampling techniques, experimental design, Operation research and Actuarial science. He / she must have published widely in mainstream Statistical sampling Techniques/Actuarial science/ Operation research peer review in National and International Journals.

In addition, other candidates in the position of a Reader (Associate Professor) for not less than three (3) years could apply. The candidate must be able to provide academic and administrative leadership. Ability to initiate and implement research projects and attract research grants/fellowships to the Department is an added advantage.

(b) Department of Biochemistry
Positions: Assistant Lecturer - CONUASS 02
Areas of Specialization: Biochemistry

Candidates for the post of an Assistant Lecturer should possess a B.Sc. and M.Sc (with thesis) Degrees in Biochemistry. The candidates must have scored an average of not less than 60B+ in MSc. coursework. The candidates must be ready to register for Ph.D degree.

(c) Department of Microbiology

Candidates for the post of a Graduate Assistant/Assistant Lecturer should possess Bachelors Degree in Microbiology with not less than Second Class Upper Division or candidates with B.Sc. (Microbiology) Second Class Lower division with relevant industrial experience or currently at advanced stage of postgraduate programme in research at Master’s level.
Publication in a reputable journal will be of additional advantage. Candidates for the post of a Lecturer I/II should
possess Bachelors Degree in Microbiology with not less than Second Class Division, Master of Science in Microbiology (with Thesis) and Ph.D. in Microbiology. He/She must have publications in reputable journals.

(6) Faculty of Arts
(a) Department of Linguistics and African Languages
Position: Assistant Lecturer - CONUASS 02
Areas of Specialization: Phonology, Yoruba Language and Yoruba Literature

Candidates for the position of an Assistant Lecturer in Yoruba Language must possess a B.A. Degree in Yoruba Language and
Literature and a Degree of Master of Arts in Linguistics with specialization in Phonology and with a Ph.D. grade. Candidates must be natively fluent in Yoruba Language.

Candidates for the position of an Assistant Lecturer in Yoruba Literature must possess a B.A. Degree in Yoruba Language and Literature, a Degree of Master of Arts in Yoruba Language and Literature and must have enrolled for a doctoral programme in Yoruba Literature in a reputable University. Candidates must be natively fluent in Yoruba Language. In addition, the candidate for any of the above positions must possess a demonstrable ability to conduct research in his/her area of specialization.

(b) Department of Philosophy
Positions:
Lecturer I - CONUASS 03
Assistant Lecturer- CONUASS 02
Graduate Assistant- CONUASS 01

Candidates for the position of Lecturer I must have a Ph.D in Philosophy from Obafemi Awolowo University or any other recognized University with at least three good publications in reputable Journals of Philosophy. Candidates are also expected to possess at least three years post-qualification teaching experience. Candidates for the position of Assistant lecturer must possess a good Bachelor Degree (B.A.) in Philosophy as well as Master of Arts in Philosophy from Obafemi Awolowo University or any other recognized University. The candidate should possess the minimum qualification for a Ph.D programme.

Candidates applying for the position of Graduate Assistant must possess a good Bachelor Degree (BA.) in Philosophy from
Obafemi Awolowo University or any other recognized University. Such candidates must possess at least a Second Class (Upper Division) in Philosophy with not less than 3.70 C.G.PA. at graduation. A First Class Honour in Philosophy will be an added advantage.

7.) Institute of Ecology and Environmental
Studies
Positions:
Junior Research Fellow - CONUASS I
Area of Specialization: Climatic Studies

Research Fellow II - CONUASS 2
Area Specialization: Geographical Information

Senior Research Fellow - CONUASS 3
Area Specialization: Atmospheric Pollution Monitoring Climatic Studies

(i) Candidates for the position of a Junior Research Fellow should possess a B.Sc. degree in Geology and M.Sc. in Environmental Management or related discipline with specialization in Climatic studies. There MUST be evidence of registration for a Ph.D. degree Programme.

(ii) Candidates for the position of a Research Fellow II should possess at least M.Sc. degree in Environmental Management with specialization in Geographical information Science and Ph.D. in Environmental Management or related discipline. Candidates with M.Sc. degree and a minimum of three (3) years teaching/research experience in a University/Research Institution OR a Comparable Organization can also apply, provided they have registered for Ph.D. and have a minimum of three publications

(iii) Candidates for the position of a Senior Research Fellow should possess both M.Sc. degree in Environmental Management and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences OR related disciplines with specialization in Atmospheric
Pollution Monitoring. He/She MUST also be able to initiate and implement research projects and be able to attract grants/Fellowship to the Institute. The candidate should have at least six (6) years of teaching experience in the
University with a proven evidence of productive Scholarship and substantial publications in both International and National learned Journals.

8.) Faculty of Technology
Department of Mechanical Engineering
Positions:
(a) Lecturer I /Senior Lecturer - CONUASS 04I05
Areas of Specialization: Heat Transfer, with emphasis in Refrigeration and Air conditioning and
Design, Modeling and Simulation

(b) Graduate Assistant/Assistant Lecturer - CONUASS 01/02
Areas of Specialization: Thermo Fluid option

Candidates applying for the position of a Senior Lecturer in each of the specialization in (1) must possess a minimum of Ph.D Degree in Mechanical Engineering and MUST be professionally registered with COREN. In addition, the candidate must show sufficient evidence of scholarly publications in reputable local and foreign journals, demonstrate ability to initiate and lead research, and have sufficient teaching experience in a recognized University.

Candidates applying for the position of a Lecturer 1 in each of the specialization in (1) must possess a minimum of Ph.D Degree in Mechanical Engineering. She/he must show sufficient evidence of scholarly publications in reputable local and international journals, and have sufficient teaching experience in a recognized University.

Candidates applying for the position of an Assistant Lecturer should possess a minimum of M.sc Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Thermo Fluid option) with not less than a Second Class Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the undergraduate level. Evidence of on-going Ph.D Degree programme will be an added advantage.

Candidates applying for the position of a Graduate Assistant must possess First Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable University. The candidate must be willing to register for postgraduate study in a
reputable Nigeria University.

9.) Faculty of Education

Area of Specialization:Adult Education

Candidates applying for the position of a Lecturer I must possess Ph.D. in Adult Education with at least 2 years of University teaching experience. The candidate must as well have some relevant publications in Adult Education. Computer literacy would be an added advantage.
