The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) on Wednesday said the killings of scores of people in Borno and Yobe in the past few days are signs that the Boko Haram terrorists are losing the battle against government forces.

The military said the trend of sneaking in to carry out isolated attacks on soft targets as a way of seeking attention is a typical end-game strategy often employed by insurgents all over the world.

Seven secondary school students and two teachers were killed in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital when gunmen, believed to be Boko Haram, attacked a government school on Sunday. A day later, suspected Boko Haram gunmen attacked two different locations, a school and a fishing village, in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, killing nine students and 13 fishermen.

Stop bullshitting. You guys only declared a state of emergency . The tactics are still haphazard.putting more boots on the ground is one thing, adopting a counter insurgency tactic and fighting an asymmetric warfare is another.
I insist that the security chiefs and the president are incompetent.
I have written about this in the past and I will give another example of lost opportunity.
As the president giving his speech on the state of emergency, military operations should have started like 6-24hr prior to the declaration.
Parachutist, special forces and fast moving squad should have cut off all exits to their camps and destroyed them there and there
It is obvious that the terrorist have regrouped and are launching sporadic attacks.

You have a point. They should have deployed the military and stationed them in strategic locations before the announcement. This would've made it difficult for them to escape. The JTF guys went to Borno and met only abandoned camps. The news of them destroying those camps have a question mark.

Clueless Commander in thief.
