What national acceptance of a younger person are you talking about? How many people voted for Ribadu in 2011? Is Ribadu not young enough?

And tell me, how will a younger person from the north make SS/SE vote against Jona? Lets Jona starts killing people and getting drunk daily in Aso rock, SS/SE will still deliver their votes to him - no condition will make them vote for somebody from another region. As a matter of fact, Buhari will get more votes from those regions (SS and SE) than any other candidates from north because he has got some people across the country who belief in what he stands for. We had people in the south in 2011 printing posters for Buhari with their money? How many of these other contestants have such committed supporters.

Listen, below is the political calculation and nothings will change this.

- North wont support GEJ in 2015 and GEJ will find it very difficult to record 10% of votes in most of the states there.
- Northerners (the majority) like Buhari - next to their God. Not because of religion but for what he stands for - moderate life, discipline, incorruptible, etc.
- South West (majority) dont want PDP and will not vote for PDP in 2015. They will support ACN in any national alliance especially where their leaders and governors are heavily involved. In 2011, there was confusion as to the position of ACN - alliance and Ribadu. People were disappointed and votes went in different directions as alliance didnt work. Many people didnt vote. Turnout was actually 35% - the lowest in the history of South West. If someone like Fashola is lined up as VP to Buhari, the game will change immediately. There is already a division - all governors in opposition will support Fashola - he will deliver SW to APC more than 70%.

- SS will go for GEJ. Nothing you can do about even if Jesus comes to contest against him. Buhari will get some votes here - he will get more votes than any other candidates. Election in Edo will be different however.

- SE will go for anything anti-north. These are bigots (ethnic and religious) - these guys care not about the progress of Nigeria as a country. Hence, they dont see what you are seeing. Hence, they will vote and rig for GEJ in their region. However, The Okorocha factor will change the dynamics a little.

All in all, whoever has the north and south west will win the election. The only ticket that can deliver this is Buhari/Fashola.

It doesnt work this way. The opposition will lose all its credibility and worth if they have to go to PDP for a presidential candidate. It has never happened anywhere in the world where opposition would go to the incumbent party for its presidential candidate. Yes, for other national appointments, you can consider credible people across the country regardless of their political affiliation.

And why Tambuwa? Because he is supporting the opposition? This is not enough to make a man a presidential material. Tell me landmark legislation that have been delivered in the house so far? Tell me what happened to the house probe of fuel subsidy? The scandal that happened and how the house has handled this.

Buhari/Fashola is the answer if we really want to see a different approach to governance.

brethren, i think u live overseas. So in 2007, Atiku wa not in pdp before switchin over to align wit ACN and clinch its presidential ticket? Perhaps the name Nuhu Ribadu dis not appear in the pdp membership register until ACN lured him with its presidential ticket. Yes, PdP was the incumbent party durin those election.

you however got the issue of credibility right. Any party that does so anywhere in the world loses credibility. Therein lies APCs biggest hurdle. No credible candidate within its ranks. Buhari wont sell.

Whatever is either achieved or failed to be achieved (openly) will determine the elected president, come election time.

I think that will be the only deciding factor. That's just my opinion.

If the election comes in the middle of obvious performance or fruition, under the GEJ administration, he will be re-elected. If not, the opposition will be elected.

He truncated a democratically elected Government of Shagari through a bloody coup d'etat

He can not even speak fluent English

He does not have qualifying University Education

He is a Boko Haram sympathizer

He called Christians and Easterners monkeys and baboons.

He inspired Boko Haram to spill blood of 'bamboons'.

He is NOT any younger for this generation as age is not on his side

He has no clear mandate, manisfesto and therefore no plan for Nigerians

He is NEVER going to be President of Nigeria, come what may.

Most of his points are factual and well documented. You guys have militarized minds because the history of Nigeria is rather patch patch. Your mets in Japan and England have a long history that they read and are tested about in schools so that future generations can be more informed about choosing better leaders.

But in Nigeria, you read the short history and have no choice but to romanticize about a man from 1983 that was part of the wasteful era of military occupancy of the peoples house.

Why cant Fashola or Duke be the presidential candidate and your Buhari as Vice. Politics 101 would help you get more supporters for that if you refuse like a typical Ni.gerian to change your mind.

ANyway, APC has yet to be registered.

A Buhari ticket in 2015-no matter his running mate- is like what they call in Philosophy Argumentum ad popullum/misericordiae (fallacy of the appeal to public mercy). You dont win an election with such an effervescent appeal. Not with an intelligent and educated electorate. Not in a diverse nation like Nigeria. The largest suppporters of Buhari are the illiterate "ordinaries" in the north mainly cos they lack the intellectual sagacity to critically analyze the bases of their stance, a few educated ones mainly for what they hope to gain--namely, power and influence. The South west supports the man not cos they dont have reservations about him but cos they're overzealously ambitious to boot out the govt at the centre, and that's the reason for their continued emphasis and obsession on that. Maybe cos victory is always difficult to handle. Their ability to over power the PDP in most parts of their region may have given them some kind of false sense of omnipotence. Well, I wish them luck still, as a neautral observer with just one vote.

Yup, cus Nigerians are definitely crazy Im getting so tired even bothering about them. Lemme tell you what will happen and you can take this to the bank:

6-9 months before the elections Electricity will miraculously become "stable". GEJ will return because, like the last time, "98.7%" ers will ensure that hes rigged voted in....

after the S elections na back to square one; no light. 1yr after, constitutional amendment to 7yr single term.

NIGERIA, SAY HI TO YOUR FIRST LIFE PRESIDENT... Oh, and yeah, you guys will definitely fight another civil war in between.

As it happened in Uganda and Cameroon ( Presidential Term Constitutional Amendment), so shall it be in Nigeria if the mistake of GEJ being President again is made. You doubt me? Go check up on the 2 Presidents GEJ made his first State Visits to just 2 weeks after becoming President. When you check that, find out what GEJ's FIRST Bill to the National Assembly was after returning from those trips.

Nigerians, learn to think far ahead and critically. Man is easy to predict once you calm down and critically analyze his actions.

The men who make up the opposition are not new blood and have been around in the system all along.

Maybe they actually know that maybe they have to chose who they think is the best of a bad bunch. And may use election time as leverage to get something concrete on ground.

All we can do is wait and see huh?

Even in the UK, we have to choose that way, sometimes knowing they are all the same when you scratch the surface.

How accursed can u be man 4 lying just to discredit som1

If u av an uncle older than 40yrs,he shd be able to tell u dat there was nothing like Bloody coup in 1983.who did they kill to get to power?

D last bloody coup was d Bukar Sukar Dimka Coup wc consumed Muritala et al

Evri other coup was a result of mutiny

What does Leadership have to do with oratory n queens english? Its innate simplicita...if u don't av it u don't cos experience wil expose u

Even Moses in d Bible complained about his speech defect when God called him to deliver the children of isreal cos he is slow in talking or a stammerer n did he not do his job

Ao shallow n hollow u are 4 saying because som1 dosnt av a University education so he is not qualified 4 d presidency?

Simpleton when n where did he call christians n easterners baboons n monkeys? Are u so full of bile n hell-sending hatred just because u are so attached to d breast of yr oga @ d top lyk a baby who wud not want to be weaned

U av consistently marshalled purile arguments just like yr handlers to discredit a man u love to hate but its just not working!!!

D best bet 4u people is to build up a cast-iron,evidence-filled case against General Buhari rather than spewing allegations dat r silly n unfounded just because d internet is easy n accessible by all n sundry

What manifesto dos 1 need to turn Nigeria to the path of sanity other than fight corruption, free up hitherto resources diverted by yr masters to provide world class infrastructures n provide leadership by example rather than d 'I don't give a damn' posture of d present occupier

By d time d presidency of dis country exit off d vice-like grip of d PDP whether Buhari or not is d beneficiary wud not matter but what wud matter to people like me who desire change is that we fought 4 change frm d status quo

The cap fits a South Eastern man that can galvanis Ibos both @ home and in diaspora. U guess is as good as mine. With Buhari (presidential flag bearer) in d North,Tinubu (BOT chirman) galvanising his yoruba men making Fashola d Senate President (having served out his 2nd tenure),Owelle Ndi Igbo,Rochas bring his magic wanders that unseated Ikiri,Ohakim's PDP in Imo, APC is a party to beat come 2015.
