Spokesman for Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ode
Ogbole, has disclosed that the United Kingdom has
rescinded its decision demanding an entry bond of
£3000 from Nigerians visiting the country.

Ogbole confirmed this to Daily Trust on Monday in Abuja
through a text message when contacted on the matter.
“It’s been rescinded,” Ogbole replied a text message
sent to him by the newspaper, but however, declined
to give further details when subsequently called.

It was also gathered from the report that “a message
from the UK government rescinding the plan had been
sent to the Presidency.”
On Sunday, news went viral in Nigeria on the purported
travel cash bond to be demanded from Nigerian visitors
to the UK as from November 2013.
