National Secretary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and founding coordinator of the Throneroom Trust Ministry, Kafanchan, Kaduna State, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure has said that some wives of slain clerics who died during the religious conflict in the North have turned to prostitution in their bid to sustain their families after the exitof their husbands.

Kure made this known while x-raying the performance of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), which he faulted over the way it has been handling ethno-religious crises in the country.
“NEMA is basically in the ‘hit-and-run’ business of instant intervention; it is not doing enough in terms of rehabilitation and resettlement of victims.

“I know the wives of some people who were killed in the religious conflicts in the North, who have now turned prostitutes in order to fend for their families. For some of those families, their children were out of school for up to two years because they could not affordschool fees. Some are yet to be back in school,” Kure told journalists in Lagos ahead of the Throneroom’s Prophetic Prayer Conference held at the National Stadium, Lagos.

The cleric also accused NEMA of being sentimental in the discharge of their duties saying that “NEMA is a little bit partial in the distribution of resources and the agency has used whatever resources they have to empower certain people,” adding that “NEMA has not made it easy for Christian victims to be reached out to which I know because of what people went through the last time we had a crisis in Kafanchan”.

Kure further disclosed that PFN has commenced compilation of a nationwide directory of victims of religious crises with a view to rehabilitating affected members in due course.

“The project is headed by Evangelist MatthewOwojaiye, and it is currently raising funds for various resettlement and rehabilitation programmes including building of houses for victims, payment of school fees for orphans and impacted children,” he said.

I blame the system,I blame FG and I blame all our leaders for failing in their responsibilities to govern the country and put her in the right direction. We always do things based on ethnic and religious sentiments. For us to be a better people and put our country in the right place among committee of nations, then we must stop using ethnic and religion as deciding factors in solving our problems.

so Mr nuhu instead of actually helping them with material things I bet U̶̲̥̅̊ spent most of the time praying and teling them to have faith but the same bible says ''Faith without works is useless"james 2:17. This is a minus for the PFN. A body that has the super-rich pastors as members like oyedepo, adeboye, okotie et al

I find it strange prostitution is what they would resort to, its highly likely they were deliberately given that option with the intention of turning them into the same.

Its also possible some of them were already on that path to begin with, assuming none of them is pretending to be the widow/s of the clerics in question.

What are their denominations? Their respective churches are supposed to assist them.

However, given the high level of p.rostitution in nigeria, i would not be surprised if the situation was planned.

But its never too late to retrace your steps, trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Boko Haram: WAEC to engage slain staffers’ widows

MANAGEMENT of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has pledged job opportunities for the three widows of its members of staff who were murdered by the Boko Haram sect recently.

The offer of appointment was made by the WAEC Head of National Office, Mr Charles Eguridu, on Tuesday in Lagos at the commendation service organised by the WAEC management in honour of the slain staff.

The late WAEC staff member, Peter Gwalasha, a senior examination officer; Boniface Emmanuel, driver and Corporal Daniel Alexander, were killed on Friday, April 19, near Damboa, Borno State, while transferring scripts of the May/June 2013 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), of candidates in Adamawa and Taraba states from the WAEC branch office in Yola to the zonal office in Maduguri.

Paying his tribute at the commendation service for the late personnel, which was held at the Excellence Hotel, Ogba, Lagos the Head of National Office (HNO), Mr Charles Eguridu, lamented the incident which occurred while they were serving their country.

According to him, the three widows would start work with the council by July and if they can not take the offer but have any child who is qualified, he/she would be employed in place of their mothers.
“This is a great loss not only to their families especially their wives and children, parents, relatives and loved ones but to the council as well.

He also prayed God to grant affected families the fortitude to bear the loss. “On behalf of the management and staff of the council in Nigeria , I extend my condolence to the bereaved families,” he added.

Eguridu noted that in spite of the challenges, threats, injuries and deaths the May/June 2013 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in Nigeria has come to a successful conclusion, adding that the trauma that attended the conduct of the school examination would remain indelible. Registrar to the council, Dr Iyi Uwadiaea, who was represented by Reverend S.N.N Ollenu, in his address, expressed his regret at the brutal killings of the three officials who were on active duty, adding that no material things or money could make up for the loss.
