My only problem is that NEPA is not allowing PHCN to work,

i don't know how much fuel will carry me till after the strike,
since it is an offence to have more than 50litre fuel @ home .

Josh316: Trust the Petrol stations to act before the strike even takes place. Queues have 'suddenly' surfaced in Abuja. These NUPENGites are terrorists and should be taken out by JTF! How can any idiot declare strike simply because they know they can cause chaos and suffering? Isn't that another form of terrorism

Poundy Brains like them! If the roads are bad, they should use trains! Afterall, their tankers don't go faster than our so-called trains. but disturbing our peace in order to cause chaos is simply evil angry

dude, its about what was agreed upon with their petroleum truck drivers. The issue of road as regards its condition, is side talk. The stakeholders should implement the agreement between them and NUPENG.

i did want to comment but your comments triggers my comments

i have a few question to help:
1* is GEJ the contractor handling road construction?
2* is the PIB not meant to address the issue cause by oil company?
3* why is the National assembly & senate house not signing D bill ?

My point is;
it is not evry issue & case we react to that we have to refer to GEJ.

TELL ME ,
if you happened to hit your foot on a stone, will you strike your eyes for not showing you the stone in advanced ?
So this is d meaning of leadership in the South South? But, sorry we are taiking about Nigeria now where leadership, unfortunately for you is both selfless service and accountability. Please, drop your perverted view about leadership because it is much more than what you have ever been taught or seen.

mann tell them. truth is that not every one knows what it takes to be a leader. maybe because they have not handled any executive position apart from having relaxing on the seat of criticism.

Must everything be about tribe? Why are you adding tribal angle to what he said? Did he say anything about your own tribe in his post?

Thanks for modifying my post with this rubish to ridicle me.

Lord, in sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life
through our Lord Jesus Christ, we commend to Almighty
God our brother; and we commit his body to the ground;
earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. The Lord bless
him and keep him, the Lord make his face to shine upon him
and be gracious unto him, the Lord lift up his countenance
upon him and give him peace through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

[size=15pt]with this strike, only the masses will suffer. in less than a day of commencement the prices of transportation have doubled and gas stations are not selling fuel. big boys in power have home made fuel supply of not less than 20,000 liters, they would NOT take taxi(S) neither will they stay in the traffic cos they have escort (police/military) therefore in all these strike who will suffer and lose more ? THE MASSAS.

me i don't support this strike at all... strike for their personal interest.

Truly NUPENG has betrayed in the past particularly in the case of Chevron contract workforce. Going forward, this strike is needed to tell the IOCs that Nigerians cannot be slaves in the homeland.
You may find yourself in the oil industry tomorrow as a contract employee, NUPENG is saying it is unfair for you to remain in that category forever.

So you have been hoodwinked into believing that those guys are fighting your cause abi? You must be a learner. Why do you think those threatened strikes are always called off at the midnight of the day preceding the actual strike action? The reason is simple, they stage manage these things when the officials are broke and once fat envelopes/cheques are given to them, then you wake up in the morning to hear that the strike has been called off by the 'central Working Committee' whoever those ones are.

As for being contract staff, well, you guys are generally 'permanent contract staff' as those contracts just keep running endlessly. I have friends who became contract staff like 4 to 6 years ago, they are still 'contracting' and making money, their other peers are still pounding the streets in search of 'temporary permanent jobs' to no avail, while others who had joined the banks and a few other industries had in the same period been downsized or rightsized. In all i am saying that you people should not use your 'reggae' to spoil my 'blues'. This morning i could not buy fuel because of the endless queues on Awolowo road, should the fact that you are a contract staff be a reason why i should suffer? Cant your people think of better ways of fighting for your rights, i am getting angry now.

Am presently on a queue trying to buy fuel somewhere in ibadan. Even filing stations that never used to have good patronage suddenly have long queues with only one pump dispensing fuel
