Morales ready to leave Austria

Austrian President Heinz Fischer said at a press conference at Vienna airport:

The flight route is normal, as far as I am informed. Spain's airspace is also open for him. (Morales) will resume his trip shortly,

#Morales and everyone ready for takeoff, will leave #Vienna soon - stated in press conference right now

Best option would be to refuel in VIE, fly over the Balkans to the mediterranean sea, west over international airspace as much as possible to Africa's west coast, refuel (declaring emergency if needed) in Sénegal, Mauritania, Guinea or Sierra Leone, and then fly accross the stormy Atlantic straight to South America, ideally to Brasil and then Bolivia. Should Brasil and Colombia deny overfly, Venezuela - international airspace - Nicaragua - international airspace - Ecuador - Peru would provide safe passage and refueling. Good thing a Falcon 900 has the legs to do just that.

Amazing this is going on... Let's see if the "leader of the free world" (haha) does not end indeed "scrambling jets" to catch a sovereign nation's presidential plane. We shall see.

Morales said he refused a request by the Spanish authorities' to inspect his plane in Vienna and has not been granted permission to use Spanish airspace, according to Reuters.

It appears that Morales's path may not have been cleared after all. Austrian reporter Tanja Malle tweets that at another press conference, this time with Morales and ambassadors from the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas (Alba), it was said that Spain is still not opening its airspace to his flight.

If the president of Boliva follows your option. Its quite good but he may not make it to his country alive. Airplane has routes they follow from point A to their destination. Any unauthorize flight in another countries airspace is grounds for it being shut down. Some countries belief in shoot first and ask questins later. No president would like to risk his life for an issue that does not directly related to his country

The Spanish government has not just annoyed Morales and Bolivia with its refusal to allow his plane through its airspace. Austrian foreign minister Michael Spindelegger is also annoyed. He reportedly said:

We don´t understand, why Spain is acting like that.

He also maintained that Austrian officials had been on the plane and Snowden was not there. Journalists at the airport had earlier suggested that Austrian authorities could not conclusively attest to Snowden not being on board as the jet's crew were saying no-one had been allowed on to the plane.

It's easy to log onto the internet and type crap.

USA, is the world's SUPERPOWER. NOBODY messes with them. Even Russia, has told that ignorant little boy that "hey, we can't sacrifice our friendship with the USA" cos of ur NAIVETY.

All the countries on face of this earth OWES USA, one favor or the other. Imagine what they subjected a president to cos of this IGNORANT lil spy.

FYI, USA, liberated Europe, from hitler.

Hong-Kong/China, knows that they can't mess with the USA, hence they DUMPED the IGNORANT and overzealous spy.

USA, remains the LAND OF THE FREE AND HOME OF THE BRAVE.

Absolute tosh and asinine. STFU if you know nothing about international politics and freaking yanks didn't save Europe during the 2nd world war - THE RUSSIANS DID!!! The yanks just joined towards to end when the Russians were marching to Berlin -to get a part of the country!! You're still a learner!!!

Every sane, upright, and civilised person on this planet - red, black, white and brown(including REAL Americans) has called this action an UNACCEPTABLE behaviour. But trust primitive and uneducated Nigerians to always support crassness and stupidity.

What right do they have to stop a diplomatic plane? If South American countries were to retaliate; don't you think it might lead to a world war? You guys are just stupid and your thought process don't belong in the 21st century!!

Can someone please remind me what UN was created for? The UN has become useless and a tool for imperialists - they might as well scrap it!!

Unbelievable! Is there nothing the U.S. Government won't do now to satisfy itself in any regard? Putting political pressure on other, weaker countries to do their bidding and force down an airplane with the leader of a country on it based on a rumor? The U.S. government is thoroughly out of control.

The US has gone from great coutry to greatest bully!

I am still unsure how he "damaged the US security". All he did was let us know that everything we did was being watched.
Wait a minute someone is banging on my do... tongue
