Jakumo: The punishment meted out to this guitar thief should be determined by the accused person's ability to play that guitar like he stole it.

If he cannot even tune up the guitar, talk less attempt to play music on it, there should be no mercy shown, and the impostor should be shot by firing squad at dawn, to serve as a deterrent to all others who might consider stealing an instrument that they are incapable of playing.

If, on the other hand, the accused proceeds to bust loose with some mind-bending George Benson guitar riffs and solos, the theft of the guitar should be forgiven entirely, PROVIDED that the accused is ready to sign a written undertaking that he will offer free guitar lessons to President Johnny B. Goode.

Let justice be served !
